  • For-Profit Healthcare: Good for Insurers, Bad for Americans  [View article]
LouieB, and where do the people that don't have health insurance, can't afford it, and probably never be able to afford it go for care? The ER at the local hospital? I'm glad that you are willing to pay extra costs in taxes and insurance to take care of these people. Me? I'd just rather that the government come up with a program that would get everyone insured.

Idle conjecture on your part simply to get an article published in seeking alpha. Come back and write when you have something important to say.

  • Another Citigroup Scandal: Business as Usual for Wall Street [View article]
You get 5 stars for this article Jeff. Reading over the comments, seems like employees and Citi dedicated staff are making negative remarks. Slander the employee's? Heck, anyone of them that knows of this type of thing going on is just as much a crook as the heads of the company. The only thing I disagree with you on is that the number one and number two problems you write should be changed. Public apathy towards this sinful banking should be the worst problem. And everyone, keep your eyes and ears open for how hard the banking industry is going to fight to keep from having one entity formed to protect us, the consumers. They will do everything in their power, including the use of more dollars than the average reader will see in many lifetimes to wield power and leverage to control the vote in congress to make sure that WE THE PEOPLE are not protected as we could be by our own government. One little agency to make sure mortgages are written in readable language, one agency to make sure that credit card rates are run up un-reasonably, one agency to be on our side instead of the functions being split, as they are now, between four to seven different government agencies. Now that is a fight I am going to follow in the coming months. Are our elected officials going to do right by us and form the Consumer Protection Agency? Or are they going to kiss the banking industry once again. Oh, and by the way, in all this TARP payback, where is our interest and warrants? Are we getting full value? Last I heard, the banks were complaining that they didn't want to have to stand by the contract. That the 'interest rate' was too high? Humm, haven't I heard that same comment from many of the same bank(s) customers? Give em hell Jeff.

  • Getting Bank of America's Share Price Recovery in Perspective [View article]
I'll buy BOA when they tell me what the truth is about the loss they took on CountryWide, when they finally come clean about how much of a loss they are sitting on with Merrill, and the banking God's forbid, when they admit too how much toxic mortgage holdings they really might have. In the meantime, there are too many other opportunities to put my money into.

  • Reforming Corporate Board Structure: Why Barney Frank Is Right  [View article]
Mark Haines couldn't ask an intelligent question if it was handed to him, and this attitude of talking over the guest is annoying. Frank handed it to him on a platter just as he should have. These talking heads that get a kick out of their own silly patter and non-senseical summations that are only given to fill up air time with chatter should not take themselves seriously. None of the rest of us do. And as for the author of this piece of toro crap........... Well, draw your own conclusions.

  • White House press secretary Gibbs on Cramer's appearance on The Daily Show: "I enjoyed it thoroughly... and I am not surprised that the video of Mr. Cramer's appearance doesn't appear on CNBC's web site today."  [View news story]
Cramer is just a comedian also. So whats the big deal? And, except for Rick Santelli, nobody on CNBC (the talking heads) have any idea whats going on either. If they did they would be rich and not have to work as actors.

  • Tom Winmill on Gold: Recent Performance Due Mostly to 'Fear Factor' [View article]
Ho Hum. Dollar finally goes pfft. Loaf of bread, $19.95 on sale. Gallon of gas $70.00. Cheaper to walk to the store, if, you can afford the bread.
Banks open one hour a day and you can only withdraw $30.00 a day.
Now to get serious. Within 24 months, a many as 20 third world countries at some form of war, civil or against its neighbor for water and food.

I think I'll just hold onto the gold I got, while I search for small profits here and there in the stock market with my investment portfolio.

What's the sense of being paranoid if you don't hold some gold?

Have a nice day every one. Am selling my BOA four hundred shares that I picked up a few days ago at $3.50. I like a profit, not being a pig and looking for the big kill.

Wasn't long in SKF until almost closing. And will pick up more on its way down all the way to the weekend. I like your reasoning Jimmy. It may not be correct, but it is more likely than not and worth a small entry into the stock at this time. Hope you are correct.
