  • Apple files all glass patent [View news story]
I predict that you may be very wrong about what this will mean. Just imagine a television that is a clean sheet of durable glass- no wires- no controls- elegant. Will make what we use now look rather old and ugly.
Apple is quietly growing and getting ready to market upscale new interconnected products and that will be in demand by those who can afford them and all this will make the bottom line look really good.

I agree gmajesko. It's almost laughable to think of Samsung or Amazon having credibility in this area.

I think it's probably safe to say that Apple will play a huge part in device-to-device interaction and they will do it with great elegance and style.

    Great request 22643611.
This is just more silly talk to slam AAPL. I rarely find any substance in the negative articles and I DO look for it. I want to learn.

  • An iWatch Cannot Move The Needle Much [View article]
This is all a bunch of negative speculation and not helpful to us in any way.
Honestly, "I just saw a mock-up for the watch. I don't think it was real, but if it was it wouldn't sell decently." Why pass this on if you don't think it was real?
And it seems highly unlikely that Apple would show you or anyone what they have designed until they are good and ready. They have been at work on these designs (not one design) for quite awhile and will want to make a huge splash with the launch. It would be healthy for all you skeptics to dial back your negativity.

Good advice Doyle. Not afraid to peel off those profits when they roll in. And there have been huge windfalls over the past few years. I was with you during that long dry spell---feeling the pain on paper. I think we are in for a wild ride up through January!

  • Apple: Why The iWatch Is A Win/Win Situation [View article]
I am long APPL too. It's my largest holding. The example of Ford, which I don't own, is to show that a company can grow and innovate after it's founder is gone. Let's give Tim Cook some credit and time. He will get the job done.

A lot of people said they would never give up horses for a car.
And speaking of cars, Ford has done quite well innovating its products after Henry passed away.

I'm with you Packer man. AAPL has been very good to me over the years and remains my largest holding in my DBP and 401K and IRA (all up between 13% and 30% this year because of Apple). Bought more this past week. I don't think we can even guess how much growth we will enjoy over the next few months with all the potential good news and January earnings should finally give Tim Cook the credit he deserves.

  • Reuters: iWatch likely to have 2.5" display, enter production in July [View news story]
I agree. Why do we have these endless speculative articles with the aid of a crystal ball: "...a launch that could come", the device will likely have...", "is said to be...", and might sell...". Why do we bother responding to this?
