Delta: Use the Northwest Brand or Lose It [View article]
So true about the NW name in Asia. I am now a retired NW flight attendant, went to Japan and beyond hundreds of times. Even with all of the NW tardiness and more basic cabin service, that brand name was respected highly. And yes part of it was because of NW going in there soon after WW2 ended and flew planes in and out of Japan when no one else did. I'm not saying the NW name should survive over Delta itself. However Delta would do well to attach the old "Northwest Orient" approach to some kind of branding, maybe on the 747s and A-330s that fly there. Anyone who has ever seen the NW hub at Narita will tell you the red tail presence there is impressive and Delta is like some kind of strange upstart trying to be one of the big boys.

Regarding cashiers and cash register lines, please do call it a PIN or a P.I.N or a personal identification number. It is not a pin number, just the same as a car does not have a vin number, and you do not have an ssn number.
'Power Offers' in Air Travel: Should Continental Partner with the TSA? [View article]
You are pathetic. ATA is American Trans Air....not Air Tran. Similar yet different. Not only are you a perfect example of a whining consumer, you don't even get your facts straight and blaspheme a company that does not deserve it. One more reason why I quit my job at a major, I was tired of babysitting helpless selfish slobs who constantly reminded me how much they knew about everything.
