Good points, Reg. It's not your problem if some readers don’t understand that banks have quite a bit of lee-way in cherry-picking how they report their results. Those readers can choose to go-ahead & buy those bank stocks. However, GIGO counts when trying to correlate data on foreclosures (Sub prime, Alt-A, ARMs etc) to other economically-related items such bank stocks, housing market bottoms, construction & homebuilding, and consumer spending.
