eBay: First Quarter Looks Rocky

Donahoe is ebay's ENEMY! His and Meg Whitman's "Disruptive Innovation" SCHEME has destroyed the site! The superb buyers and sellers are abandoning that sinking ship!

ebay raised fees TWICE last year against it's users, WHILE giving FREE listings to mega sellers, now called "Diamond Sellers". Donahoe has enforced policies which REQUIRE sellers to LIE to and about their buyers! The majority of members are FORCED to use Paypal and sellers are NOT allowed to tell buyers that they accept other forms of payments. Sellers can ONLY leave positive feedback for their buyers (REGARDLESS) and sellers are being suspended for being truthful in their feedback COMMENTS about bad buyers.

Censorship of ebay's discussion boards is at an all time high, as ebay attempts to hide the truth from the media and shareholders! Read threads at ebay discussions, "The Soapbox", but read quickly, posts and threads are removed quickly and users are being suspended for being HONEST!

Read Paypal's amended User Agreement to discover that Paypal (owned by ebay) can now withhold ANY users funds for up to 180 days at Paypal's "sole Discretion"! There is no arbitration process...Paypal IS the judge, jury and executioner of funds withheld from users. Funds that are supposedly NOT being withheld are being processed at slower rates and an enormous number of "Glitches" have denied users access to their funds for extended periods of times in order for Paypal to increase it's revenue. This house of cards is a dangerous game.

Whoever wrote this piece REALLY needs to do more homework. They can start by scouring ebay's own discussion boards for those who have been damaged by ebay's lack of controls! A couple of internet searches with just a few key words would bring up so many problems with ebay, the author would be ashamed at themselves for putting "trusted" and "ebay" in the same sentence together!

Not ONLY are there HUGE problems at ebay, but the payment system they own, Paypal, is overrun with glitches and outright manipulations (always in favor of ebay incs. interest).

PLEASE read the amended Paypal User Agreement! Paypal (owned by ebay) can now withhold users funds for 21-180 days at Paypal's "sole discretion"!!! Users are being caught in this trap at alarming rates! I find it hilarious that the ebay employees are ignoring ALL of the FACTS posted by Dinah and are attempting distract from them by arguing a mute point as to whether or not ebay was lowered.

ebay has been throwing the "transparency" word around lately. Looks like a few of their employees are actually being VERY transparent with their posts here, unlike ebay/Paypal/Donahoe's new policies and actions. I guess those employees think their paycheck is worth more than their integrity.

Thankfully, there's enough FABULOUS, self-respecting sellers NOT willing to be bullied around by the shrinking power of ebay. Working together, the truth about ebay's deceit and manipulations are being heard!

EXCELLENT ARTICLE! Thank you for posting the TRUTH. We're seeing many more articles like this all across the internet from those willing to share the current FACTS about Donahoe's new & failing ebay!

Neilson Oline just reported that in November, Amazon.com BEAT ebay in their numbers of unique visitors to their sites! This IS a SIGNIFICANT gain for Amazon. ebay's unique visitor count was DOWN by -6%, while Amazon's was UP by +7.5%.


Although Amazon's page views dropped by 8% year over year, eBay's page views dropped an alarming 30 percent!!!

ebay new upper management can continue to ATTEMPT to dispute the facts, BUT it will NOT change them.

ebay IS FAILING due to Whitman AND Donahoe's "Disruptive Innovation" scheme!

eBay's Weakening Bid

This reporter did a great job EXCEPT when they wrote, "However, given their strong customer loyalty and retention, eBay is poised to make a comeback once the economy turns". NOTHING could be further from the truth. Ebay LOST it's " strong customer loyalty and retention" when Donahoe & Whitman began forcing their "Disruptive Innovation" scheme against their users.

eBay Forecasting Slow Down in Q3

Donahoe and Whitman's "Disruptive Innovation" is creating the destruction of ebay, as planned.

It makes me sick to see what they have done to what WAS a great site. I will never shop there again, unless they change ALL of the 2008 policies back to what they were and get rid of Donahoe and his cronies, including Meg Whitman, who is still an employee and continues to sit on ebay's board. The ebayers hate what has been done to THEIR site. As far as Donahoe himself, he has ONLY shown ebay users contempt and the feeling is mutual. Even ebay employees are fed up with him. Search glassdoor.com to see ebay's miserable 24% approval of ebay's CEO and their comments about his woefully inept lack of leadership qualities.

eBay's Bill Me Later a Bad Idea

Bill Me Now is as poor of an idea as was purchasing skype. At a time when American are desperately trying to find their way OUT of debt, Donahoe buys a credit company. It sure looks like, yet another way, ebay's, CEO is trying to bury ebay and increase Paypal's take by making it's competition disappear.

ebay has put out an announcement that listings are not showing up with searches and won't be fixed until some time next week. This coupled with all of the other tests, glitches and counter-productive new policies screams Deliberate Sabatage from the very top of this organization.

Whitman and Donahoe are both responsible for the disaster ebay has become. It's HIGH TIME the government steps in and investigates the manipulating at the ebay monopoly. I hope they have several sets of handcuffs available when they do.

Earnings Preview: eBay

I wouldn't have ebay in my folio, if it were given to me free. Meg Whitman and John Donahoe hatched the Disruptive Innovation plan for that company long before Donahoe took the steering wheel. Their plan to destroy that company is well on it's way to being achieved. They've added so many tests, glitches and assinine policies that have been specifically created for the sole purpose of killing the site. While doing so, ebay has been performing back flips, trying to push it's company Paypal, which is nothing more than a warehouse of greed. If you are even thinking about using it's services, search "Paypal Scam" or Paypal Rip Off" first. That will give you a better idea of what you will be getting yourself into, than anything I or ebay can tell you.

This deliberate sabatage, of a once, fine lucrative company, should be investigated from top to bottom. Instead, Meg Whitman has joined McCaain's Party and John Donahoe's wife has given parties for Obama. It's about time the government blew the lid off that deceitful monopoly, rather than jumping in bed with them!

Fees have been RAISED twice this year in attempts to duisguise the MASSIVE number of ebayers FLEEING the site. ebay/Paypal have been caught requiring buyers of possible counterfeit items to send those items to Liquidity Services, which IS an online SELLER. Ebay got caught, several times, padding their OWN listing numbers (only admitted to it during one of their rounds). More policies to protect the scammers are developed daily.
