  • When Should Sirius XM Implement a Reverse Split?  [View article]
    LUCKY CALL

The question remains did you make money on your call? Or was this just a shot in the dark?

The best comment yet. I do not understand how much dribble is waisted on bashing and commenting on the idiots. Just read and go about your business, do not sink down to their level.

  • Sirius XM Poised to Profit from Muzak Bankruptcy  [View article]
I find writing here is way too hard for me because it catches me in a positive mood that is hard to maintain when the stock is performing like it has these last few days. However I too have been trying to pplay the ups and downs and have been caught not making the cut. Just past couple of days this happened, sold at .70 and bought back later at .67 just to see it fall further back down. It is hard to make the sale when you feel the pop is just around the corner. What I do not understand is how companies with such horrible numbers like RAD, FNM and PIR have managed what we all expect SIRI to do any second. Long Siri

Do not pay attention to idiots and make relevant comments on the stock. I have not said anything as of late, but enough is enough. Just read or skip the idiot posts. Keep buying on the way down and sell some on the way up. Always play with the house's money and the stress of not losing your money makes for better investment decisions.

In Mass the rate of people looking for jobs and those who had all but stopped even, though their benefits had run out was calculated to be around 50%. If that is the case; the rate of employment I would have to agree is much lower than that stated in this article and concurr with Sidweaver in his assessment.

Yes, but everyone here is making me believe that the royalties are paid for each listener not each time the song is played and broadcasted. If sirius has 19,000,000 listeners royalties are not paid individually for all those subs. Back in the 70s I heard artist were paid something like a penny each time their song was played. Now there are 50 states and various radio stations that was a lot of pennies. My question is wether the royalties are calculated in a different manner for sat radio then free FM or AM radio stations (land limited short distance stations)?

From the posts I get the feeling that sat radio has made few bad decisions when it comes to rayalties then. But if anyone has other ideas or has a better grasp of what the rate of royalties is please let me and everyone else know it.

correct me if I am wrong, but if an artist gets paid royalties on every sub that sirius has; then should not all the radio stations also pay for every listener they claim to have? If this is the case the music industry would have billionares, rather than millionares. Royalties are paid on the amount of times a song is played, not on how many people listen to the song. As I said please correct me if I am WRONG.

  • Sirius XM Dances with the Bulls and the Bears  [View article]
I read all the childish jibberish on the sirius stock and am I the only one that sees the money making oppurtunities this stock has presented in the past months. Wether the stock price goes up I can not believe that I am the only one selling on the ups and buying on the lows. On the recent rise and fall I managed to increase my position by 25% and still have my core shares just in case it goes up on me while I am asleep. the product is good and every stock worth its stuff is doing badly at present from last year's high. We can bash the stock and listen to the morons state thier opinions and if we listen to them we will get angry and loose money just like they might have therefore are now just so angry to see people like myself whom have believe and bought and sold and held also make bags of money. Sirus is a great stock but please sell on the ups and buy on the lows and keep adding to your positions and even if the stock holds at these levels why should we fear the great gains we have already made. Car makers will continue to add sat radio to their cars to intice new buyers and if you doubt sat is on its final breath, why would the Toyotas of the world keep betting on placing such items on cars. I could bash any stock at the moment and sound knowledgeable but how am I going to be thought of a year from now. Speculation is a hard business and if you do not have the stomach for it buy bonds or keep it in a savings account.
One thing I do think make grown up comments or just keep your post to a minimum becase it is hard trying to by pass all the nonesense just to read the few good comments we have come to rely on. JMO.

  • Earnings Preview: Sirius XM Radio [View article]
I hear all the chatter and I do not understand why everyone is wondering wether the stock goes up or down. If you all bought in the single digits or pennies you should be playing with the house money and should be able to weather the ups and downs of this stock. I am a believer in this stock and have made plenty of money to not have any of my original money in it. So for me the belief in this stock has given me the faith to buy when it hit rock bottom and now am not worried about tomorrow. I also have been able to take some profits and have about 14,000 to invest on other stocks thanks to SIRIUSXM. So to the bashers eat my shorts.

  • Sirius on the Move: Purely Technical? [View article]
FM in the 50's more like the 70's the mustang my dad bought had all the modern upgrades and FM was not avalaible in 67. I bought an FM converter in 77 and here we are 30 years later. I do agree sat radio will do to FM, what FM did to AM. However it will take time and patience, but the rewards will be worth it. JMOP.

  • Chrysler's Sirius Impact Could Include Better Times Ahead [View article]
s162 I have to agree with most of what you say about the nay sayers. If I had listen to the morons that do not believe in this company the $5000 I bought at the around .06 would have been my biggest regret to date. However I got scared and sold at .24 but was glad when I was able to buy back in at .19 believe me I have not been scared since. Will not lie I did sell 1/3 of my position at .54 after it went to .63 but bought back at .40 a couple of days ago not great trades by all mean but not regretable ones. Staying long until figures come out in a couple days. As a mathematician the numbers say one thing to me but peoples actions which can not be calculated always speak volumes. When everyone screams red go blue and when they say sell, buy more. It has worked for me so far and I believe SiriusXm is going to pop, really pop. Liberty would not have put all those millions on a horse that can not run.
