User 236368,You say that Zestimates for Tampa are very low. They may be compared to tax records, but not to actual sales. Looking at recent sales in Tampa, Zillow is close on a lot of them and if they are grossly off it is because they are too high.

Roubini Now Says House Prices to Fall 30% [view article]
Yawn. I live in Bend, Oregon where we are already seeing some drops of more than 30%. Some houses are being listed at 40% off their last sale price. We WISH it would only be a 30% drop. With the inventory we have now (1400+ homes on city lots, about 15-18 months inventory) we are going to see bigger losses. In the desirable/nice parts of town we will be down 40%, and in the outskirts we will see 50% off or more. I'm amazed when I see people freak out about 20%-30% down and realize we are already there, heading further. Apr 09 02:38 AM
