GLD and SLV are good only as a trading vihicle,say if you want to buy in the morning and sell in the afternoon.Buying and selling on a daily or weekly type of trade to make money takes speed,that you can not do with physical bullion.If you want to buy gold or silver for the long term,the ONLY way is to buy physical bullion.There is just something about a monster box of silver eagles,or a tube of gold eagles or maple leafs that puts a smile on your face that a piece of paper can't do.Even the sound of a bag of junk silver being dumped out is great,the sound is something you have to hear to understand.
