Windows Collapsing Under Its Own Weight - Gartner

Virtualization and stripped-down, pre-fab os versions are already in Windows Server 2008. Well, they're still trying to get virtualization to work properly. I'm sure they'll move these features into the next desktop Windows, or at least try to.

However: too little, too late, and won't work. That's the Microsoft way.
