Lets see, we take a 20% paycut in return for projections, sounds like Enron to me.

  • My K.I.S.S. Dividend Portfolio: 1st Quarter 2015 Update [View article]
Thanks very much for your fine work. I am 62 and seeing friends pass makes me impatient to fund more fun. What I do different is I allways pay attention to YOC. I have ETE at over 15% YOC. And GE over 6% If I hadn't caught the boogies I would have apple at over 30%. If buy too low, below 3.5% I don't know if I will have the time too enjoy my capital. Your horizon is longer and more patient, thanks again.

  • Tesoro is the top target in U.S. refinery strike [View news story]
I have several friends who work in the the refineries, they tell me this work action is NO 1 about safety, men are working way too much overtime with too much resultant fatigue. I am told a very large refinery is within a week of shutting down due to delayed maintenance. We the 99% understand, the economic war to enslave us never stops.

  • National Oilwell earnings beat estimates, but rig systems backlog shrinks [View news story]
I hold NOV for the div growth. At a 13% decrease in rig backlog it's backlog should reasonably outlast this downturn. This is a great, well managed company with a dominant presence. NOV is not SDRL.
I will wait for another qtr results to decide on my buying point. Remember the Saudis have the final say on price. They will force the higher cost producers to pull back on production. As shale producers pull back vigorous expansion and the great bear is disciplined the outlook will become clearer. The drilling is decreasing worldwide but not stopping. I believe $ 80.00 oil will return after the next presidential election. The Saudis are an American client , we destroyed Iraq when they invaded Kuwait. The huge ? is where's the NOV bottom ?

  • Is It A Good Time To Buy MLPs? [View article]
Brucejfern: I liked the WPZ and HCLP side for yld. and bought favorably before ACMP was announced. I hope they stay lookin good. I did just the opposite with ETE / ect, and the yoc and tr certainly looks good. I bought KMI not KMP for future yld, I don't see how it won't work out like ETE with Kinder footprint and muscle. I want to diversify more but this American energy story is compelling. We have hardly started to export yet, the upside is huge and if these MLP'S were valued like APL where would their $ be ?

  • John Hussman: The Journeys Of Sisyphus [View article]
Most of the late equity upside, say 2/3 is asset inflation and low taxes. Too much money chasing too little safe bond yield. "QE for ever" in the struggle to restart the blown up world economy. Don't ever forget that what the .01% fear is civil unrest. It's the unprecedented FED accommodation.

  • Apartment Update For 06-30-14 [View instapost]
Factoids : Thanks for sharing. From a stand point of valuation this sector is the most solid in reitdom, the only thing that could change that would be substantial mortgage affordability / income growth for young nesters. As long as the tea people control the house it won't happen

Gentleman: For clarity lets remember that since 2000 there has been real US wage deflation. The significant inflation has been in the assets held and desired by the ever richer 1%. We now have 2 separate U.S. economies.

Thanks again Brad, incite-full. With a very aggressive young ex-pander. I look at sponsorship, shorts and how they are raising money. The question of DOC is whether they will dilute as fast as they grow their cap. Their latest sounds good, but then so did ENRON.
