Insider trading, folks trade on leaked material info ... Countrywide, Meryle Lnych, AIG etc...all those violent swings had made a selected few tons of money. The crooks are cleaning small investors' clocks. Look at Option Repricing scams, nearly all the high tech companies did that. You can count those who are in jail with fingers on one hand.

If you looked back the past few quarters, there was no auto sells. Apparently, the auto sells come in only when hpq prices was hot. Also, the selling wasn't just 3 executives, go check out the entire YTD sells in yahoo or other financial sites.

Stock didn't meltdown, $42.52 LOD and now sitting at $43.07 (10:36am). Not too bad after went up 20% YTD. Hurd has more fat to cut before he's done with EDS acquisition. Best time to do it when sales are down in this deep recession.
