I'm not a conservative Republican. Quite the contrary. But I do wish there were more conservative Republicans like McTeer out there than the irresponsible hucksters who seem to dominate the landscape and get all the media attention.

Cowruso-Cowbrera is the most ridiculous figure on CNBC--Quite an accomplishment when you think about it--A strident ideologue with a knee-jerk response to every question. And why does she talk out of the side of her mouth like a character in some 1930s' gangster movie? As for Gasparino--Well, I don't believe he's on the take. But "John Mack is a great guy--I've known him a long time" tells you what you need to know about the objectivity of his "reporting."

Mr. Rothbort is exactly right on this issue. Too many Americans still think of supply/demand in strictly American terms. We aren't driving the bus anymore.
