Very balanced comment ! [ i especially liked, "The 169 million iPhones sold last year are used, of course, for "...mobile playing games or texting friends to keep them up to date on the latest gossip"]

Mario Lanza, I replied to you with "Mario - wow !!! You write even better than you sing !!" as my way of saying how much i liked your post and that i agreed with it. SA deleted it because it was not relevant to the discussion. I hope this [ one] gets to you.

Lensman - while i agree with most of what you say, I disagree with this:"while being deeply skeptical that a tiny amount of global warming is either abnormal or anything to worry about."
To give a current analogy, a tiny amount of Ebola germs / virus can have an outsized effect on the human body. The human body is a delicate system ideally in balance so that it is healthy.
The Earth's biosphere is an immensely complicated and delicate system which has some resiliency but can be overwhelmed. The magnitude of severe weather events with increasing frequency indicate, to me, that something is going on. There is a tiny increase in global temperatures but is is a global average. Because of the complexity of the system, the average will be made up of large effects in some areas and not in others. From what I read some time ago, America will experience more of those large effects.

Frank - good points. Their new tech will be a competitor to TSLA. But their bread & butter product appears to be un-innovative, with IC engines and pedestrian yearly refinements. I see a lot of their cars go by me on the highway and they strike me as Fords etc desperately trying to maintain cache. [ Or maybe it is not the company so much as the owners trying to look cool.]

Augustom, TSLA has a wide open future due to its new technology. BMW has old technology and a comparatively stodgy image. THe ultimate question is - will TSLA's story play out??

you gotta be short - how obvious.
Why do you bother posting endlessly - everybody has seen your last 1000 identical posts and nobody cares what you think.

Jxnb - i agree completely. The author is right that the 200 MA was falling because of the price action in the last half of 2013. But the 50 MA was rising because of the price action in the first half of 2014. Most people would take the more recent action as the most significant.
[ also it is strange that he would describe it backwards - the 200 falling below the 50 rather than the 50 rising above the 200 !!]

Andreas:"Nothing has changed. John "hot air" Chen is as inept as his predecessor. A yesteryear man, ..."
Nothing like slamming a guy without waiting to see what he can do !! Your comment is so over the top that it hints at desperation.
[ as for your -$0.50 prediction - who knows - it might even be high. So what?? It's next year that counts.]

Andreas if you are right, just like the Edsel, in 50 yrs it will be highly cherished and thus valuable. Quite possibly because they are so innovative and reliable that they will still be made and sold 50 years into the future!! Maybe you should put one aside for an investment, along with some BB shares. You will thank me !!!

  • BlackBerry Sells U.S. Real Estate As Restructuring Picks Up Pace [View article]
"The only way Blackberry is going to make it, is to design something not currently in the market place. "
The implication is that BB phones are the same as everything else available. Your mysterious psychological compulsion to slam BB at every opportunity has taken you to all the way to absurdity. Read some of the following posts.

“we have not fought and lost total war for 4 years.” – awesome turn of phrase, Mr. Hinton.

Coin – in spite of your absence, I will post my question to you anyway. It is clear from your style of posting that you not just disagree with Obama. You do not dislike Obama. You fervently hate Obama. WHY???

Coins, I have never, ever responded to any one as insultingly as I did to you. Since I do not know anything about you, it was unfounded. I apologize - me and both gerbils. It is getting late and I just skimmed your lengthy response. I looked at the link you gave [ "Is The U.S. Bankrupt?"] but cannot find the context for the comments you give - who is Tommy?? And are you one of the commentators?
I will read more carefully tomorrow and ask you a question that intrigues me.

Charles Hinton – you are my hero. Though I am not sure if he is a racist. He could be either or both ignorant and a sociopath.
