    BA has been adrift strategically since the King/Marshall duo broke up in the 90's. As an independent carrier its days are numbered, and neither the AA alliance nor the IB 'merger' (assuming Real Madrid don't buy them as well!) will make a substantial difference. Expect somebody from further east to take a 'strategic position' in BA's primary remaining asset - those LHR slots.
