  • Obama's Green Obsession: More Harm Than Good? [View article]
    As a free market believer, I see no difference between subsidizing fossil fuels via financing wars or giving tax credits for renewable. It's hard to estimate, but i have a feeling that without subsidizing them the renewable would be even more competitive.

    "To measure use over a period of time, we use watt-hours, not watts."
    i think the question was exactly that "period of time"

    let me help u:

    "each peak kilowatt of solar array output power corresponds to energy production of 4.8 kWh per day."
    source:
    en.wikipedia.org/wiki/...

    1.244 m2 sunpower hi eff panel gives 225W peak
    source:
    www.sunpowercorp.com/P...

    a 100 m2 rooftop installation such gives 18KW, approx daily 86KWh

    annual electricity use/house: 10660 kwh
    source:
    www.ul.com/newsroom/ur...

    that gives 29kwh daily vs 86 kwh of a currently available 100nm installation.

    Printing solar cells was associated with Dye-sensitized solar cells in my mind.

    1. Nanosolar is not a CIGS company.
    2. CIGS companies do not use Tellurium, which can be an advantage on the long run. (although is too early to invest CIGS, I agree)
    3. The question is not that FSLR can achieve aggressiv growth, but how much of this already priced in.
