Excellent point, Factoids! TCPCs announcement will not be cheered until somebody at CNBC screams "Buy, Buy, Buy!"

Thank you Factoids. Finally, yes finally, I read the entire article without getting that "glaze over" syndrome. The lesson was the same, the message was the same; it was the presentation that drove your point home. Got it!

    Thanks

    Factoids-
Let me say I always look forward to reading your articles; although, like many readers, I know my eyes will soon find the "glaze over zone."
I love a dry humor and yours is much like the bone dry steer skull in the desert. I think perhaps many readers fail to appreciate your wit.

Long VTR and HCN; recently cleared out of my position in HCP. Will await forth coming events to see how HCP recovers from investigation.

Factoids, Steve Rasher; How is it that I find value in each of your points? I must surely be an optimist with a mix of pessimistic spice. Thankks for each viewpoint.

  • Prospect Capital: Why A 22% NAV Discount Won't Trigger A Buyback [View article]
    Scott-

Excellent article. I am inclined to believe that MCC is following in PSEC's footsteps when it pertains to shareholder disdain and management aloofness.

  • THL Credit Is Priced Below Average On Valuations And Merits Better Treatment [View article]
I believe it was Mr. Bock that stated to TCRD management that purchasing some of their shares would be nearly equivalent to making a loan and getting almost 17% return. Of course, TCRD probably could not earn fees by doing this.

  • THL Credit Is Priced Below Average On Valuations And Merits Better Treatment [View article]
There must be some merit to owing TCRD as KBW has #1,012,969 shares representing 2.91%: Wells Fargo owns #2,148,468 shares representing 6.34% and Omega Advisors own #934,551 shares representing 2.76% of the TCRD total.
This information per MorningStar ownership tables.

On the last earnings conference call, Mr.Leon Cooperman (Omega Advisors) and Mr. Jonathan Bock (Wells Fargo) both questioned why TCRD management had a stock buyback plan announced but had failed to purchase ANY shares this year. One would think that large institutional owners might be able to influence management now and then!
