Your speculations as to the current White House administrations motives are completely unfounded and based on conspiracy theory. Yes, the public is partially to blame. When a person cannot look at their financial situation and make a sound decision about affordability of a mortgage, it is their fault too. Also, you really need to point your finger in the direction of Bill Clinton as well as Bush. Clinton started this mortgage garbage in 2000 and then handed the ball to Bush who fumbled it as well. Get your head out of the sand. Think for yourself instead of what your political party tells you to think.
