    • Oncolytics Announces Breakthrough in Cancer Treatment Trials [view article]
Poor "Evan"...he'... probably go broke defending this pathetic stock...he'll never stop ask himself why this company has no partners for such a "breakthrough in cancer treatment"...he'l... standby and watch the company pour millions after millions into various trials none of which ever seem to make it to phase III DESPITE the therapy offering such a dramatic "breakthrough&quo... watch as the company continues to sell millions and millions more shares...and management will draw hefty salaries, bonuses, perks and benefits...and the brokers will reap their fat commissions...but where o'where will be all the shareholders' yachts? You have to wonder who writes these articles for this woman...I mean, surely, it can't be her...look at the publication history -- an article every one or two days; sometimes more than one a day...analysis over a range of tech companies so broad as to make me highly skeptical of the value of any opinion she has to offer...and typical of "seekingalpha&quo... authors, she is not required to actually act on her commentary and put together an actual portfolio so we could all see how perspicacious she really is...and reviewing her past articles suggests her bucket has a pretty big hole in it. • VMware, EMC: The Bargain You Were Looking For? [view article]
Geez, where does "seekingalpha&quo... find these goobers?!...she recommended buying VMW on a "bargain day"...read the linked article and discover she left out a minor detail -- how to recognize when that day arrived!!!...then at the bottom of that article, in response to a reader's query about whether the stock should be held despite it having fallen $30 from its high, Srama offers this pearl:

"The way I would play VMW is buy low / sell high. This is not a long term buy and hold stock."

...gag -- pardon me, I need to hang my head in a puke bucket for a few minutes...whooooeeee -- with advice like that, no doubt she'll make us all rich in no time!!

..."Microcyn Technology" is -- uhhhhhhhhh...soap?...H... noticed in their phase II studies the control group used saline!...HAW!!...well... uhhhh, yeah, I can see it would work better than salt water...but does it work better than plain old soap?...or better than other bacteriocidal agents already on the market?...HAW!...and then I saw that scare tactic MRSA page on their website!...of course, they neglect to mention that the best way to prevent MRSA is washing your hands with plain old soap and water...HAW!..."M... Technology" -- what a joke!...HAW, HAW, HAW!!! May 23 09:59 AM

...breakthrough????...... joke!!!...ONCY is yet another in an almost endless line of Canadian biotech scam companies designed for nothing more than fleecing naieve investors...I would bet on hell freezing over long before reolysin becomes a cancer therapy. May 23 09:51 AM
    • Generex Biotech's Oral-lyn Granted Special Access Authorization by Health Canada [view article]
...for "Lanster" -- GNBT's pipeline?...you must be joking...one week they're working on a SARS vaccine...the next week it's a prostate cancer vaccine...then they start up RNAi program...whatever is in the headlines on Monday will be in their "pipeline" by Friday...years ago used to claim they were working on a fentanyl and a morphine spray -- they're both still listed on their website as being in phase I but they never mention any progress with either one anymore...their "pipeline" probably serves no other purpose than of duping naieve investors into buying their stock...in 2005 they had about 35 million shares outstanding; in 2007 that had risen to ONE HUNDRED AND TEN MILLION SHARES!...and per the accountants on the annual report:

"These matters raise substantial doubt about its ability to continue as a going concern."

      ...you figure it out!

HAW!...yet another try at a pump from an anonymous investor!...evidently GNBT managed to convince a GP to presribe oralyn for ONE -- strong emphasis on "ONE" -- patient...and SAP authorization does NOT mean other therapies "either failed, were unsuitable, or are unavailable"!!...... that was its original purpose it is used to obtain pretty much not currently authorized -- e.g. silicone BREAST IMPLANTS:

      www.cmaj.ca/cgi/conten...

...nothing changes the FACT that the bioavailability of insulin via oralyn is only about 5-7%...in other words, the same quantity of insulin via oralyn per DAY would last 16 - 20 DAYS if given via injection...moreover, the patients would STILL require injections since oralyn is short acting and virtually ALL patients require some form of long acting insulin...and if they're afraid of needles there are needle-free injection systems available -- e.g. medi-jector...GNBT claims to have been selling oralyn in Ecuador for over a year and a half now but have yet to report a single PENNY of revenues there!...GNBT is NOTHING but a bad Canadian joke that is run by a former real estate agent.

...reasonable point, Mr. Rogozinski...however, like most of the "pundits" he rarely offers specific buy/sell advice...however, I did find one post from early 2006:

      seekingalpha.com/artic...

...he advised buying GG, DROOY, RGLD...had you followed his advice then by the end of the year you would have been down about 30%...despite the decline in price, he continued pumping gold through March and then just quit...no hold or sell -- just quit talking about it...but then he made a brilliant discovery -- pennies are actually worth 2.3 cents apiece a current copper prices!!...of course, he doesn't mention that melting down pennies could land you in a federal penitentiary...but, hey, that's a small price to pay for a hundred per cent return on you investment, right?!...please, such wisdom I could do without.

    • The Fed’s Dilemma: Rescue the Housing Market or Feed the Poor? [view article]
...I'm beginning to think this blog should change its name to "seeking stupid"..."S... many poor countries such as India also subsidize basic food prices to limit urban unrest, national budgets are being thrown out of kilter."...that's got to be one of the dumbest statements I've read in a while...to "subsidize" means the govenment provides price support to prevent commodity prices from DROPPING!...rice hardly needs any subsidies right now...in fact, in India, it was the REMOVAL of government control of rice prices that led to spiraling prices as it allowed the farmers to start selling to the highest bidder...in addition, from 1999 to 2003 the price of rice FELL 50%...did that correlate with rising interest rates -- don't think so!...the price also ROSE 50% from 2005 to 2007...did that correlate with dropping
interest rates -- don't think so!...another "pundit" just looking to exploit the "seeking alpha" website by using it to lead naieve investors to his own "pseudoblog" where even more misleading information is offered in order to convince them to subscribe to various reports and newsletters...thank you for the service, "seeking alpha."

...give a guy a "CFA" and what'll he do?...well, first he'll probably start his own "blog"...the... he'll want to promote his blog by by posting on other peoples' blogs...to attract attention, he'll speak pundit-style, offering his "profound" analysis without offering a grain of historical evidence in support...furthermore, he'll neglect to offer any evidence of his alleged "expertise" -- e.g. a curriculum vitae listing his degrees in economics and political science, his publications in scholarly journals, his history of employment on university faculties or at economic think tanks, etc...and all the unfortunate "seekingalpha&quo... reader gets is essentially meaningless tripe...thank you, "seeking alpha." • Elixir Hopes to Cash In On Sirtuins Too After GSK / Sirtris Deal [view article]
…I absolutely agree that the deal is utter nonsense and probably some some GSK’s manager self-promoting idea to keep GSK at the “forefront” of science…the only things really accomplished were some venture capitalists no doubt cleaned up and the odds that we’ll all will be paying more for GSK drugs have increased substantially…what’s really disgusting is thinking about what 750 million dollars COULD have accomplished for healthcare in the third world countries.

...another one!...another useless article by Ms. Cheung doing absolutely nothing but reading stories that were widely available early this morning on every financial news website...this contributes nothing!...it's nothing but free advertising for Ms. Cheung's website!...and her website is little more than a vehicle for yet more ads for Forex and for her Forex trading course!...come'on, "seekingalpha,&qu... clean this crap up! • Why the Fed Needs to Pause Today [view article]
...why the world doesn't need more "sidewalk superintendents"?... they contribute nothing of value...the Fed is is lead by presumably intelligent, well trained individuals with access to vast stores of data as well as access to a vast network of expertise via the federal reserve banking system...one might reasonably presume that they're in a better position to judge appropriate monetary policy than someone who looks like they're barely out of diapers. Apr 29 04:39 PM
    • Is the Fed Bankrupting America? [view article]
...can't agree...the fed's cuts were mainly a psychological play to reassure the public that the feds were paying attention to the deteriorating credit markets and were ready to take action to prevent economic disruption...at the time the markets were being rocked almost daily by stories of this or the other financial institution teetering on bankruptcy...liquidity was drying up as everyone feared economic collapse...resolving this fear was a priority and towards that end the fed was quite successful...the markets stabilized and money started to move again...the cuts triggered a weakening of the dollar and related increases in oil prices...however, the dollar is still stronger than where it was in 1995 and short term inflationary pressure does not necessarily translate into long term effects...and the statement that "rate cuts would open a clear road to disaster, a superhighway to the downfall of the American superpower" is so absurd that it hardly bears comment...there simply is NO HISTORICAL EVIDENCE to support such an argument...and to think that a percentage point here or there is going to alter long term economic development seems irrational...no one has a crystal ball of sufficient strength to predict much of anything long term economically...neverth... the world seems full of "sidewalk superintendents" ready to rail about about what should of been done...but their "after the fact" analysis contributes essentially nothing.
