  • 'Great' Companies That Are, Literally, Good to Go [View article]
I have to admit; your list got me excited. It is just short of amazing that ABT, WFC, and KR have only backed off 2 to 3% in this market. However, all of them are great buys. Fannie Mae could be the best buy on this list. After all, where can they go. Bankrupt? I strongly doubt that. If they did bankrupt it would be very interesting to see how many banks would go with them. Starting with WFC. After all the banks are the big holders of FNM stock, and I still have to remind myself; buying a home in America is still my greatest investment.

  • Prepare to Sell Monday - Cramer's Mad Money (9/19/08) [View article]
I certainly can't see Alpha as being biased after wading through all the news of the week. I kinda liked the coverage on Cramer which is unusual for me because I have always believed Cramer get paid to PUMP & DUMP and causes some good companies to get hurt unscessarily. BMY and WM are just two for example. It took me two days to sort out what the CEO from Morgan Standly said about WM, " I thought I was in a candy store" now I think that was classic. Obviously he saw the depository going on there and was impressed. If I see this wrong somebody please correct me.

  • Fannie & Freddie Are Here to Stay [View article]
This is the best financial report I remember ever reading. FNM and FRE will always be around, regardless of politics, Repo"s or Demo's. The point is the media needs to get behind ole Henry, and help restore confidence in to the whole country. Ole Henry may not have a silver bullet, but he is still the Lone Ranger in trying to fix what appears to be impossable.
I don't know who wrote this article I am commenting on, but he can surely take it as a compliment, and he has hero status in my opinion.

  • Alesco Agony Reaches a Crisis Point [View article]
Read your article about AFN, and first I want to thank you for the coverage you have given shareholders on AFN over the past year. You have helped me to decide to stay in the stock. I am very concerned now about the position AFN is in. However, I am considering the management at AFN. Though they have been very evasive on their web site, they have been vigelant in their decisions. Plus I still don't see any inside trading...I think I will still hold for the dividend cut, and the chance for stock price to increase.
