Same here. Largest holding in my portfolio and buying more on the dips. Good articulate article.

  • Disney Has The Best Movie Director Of All Time [View article]
Great article and I agree with you 98%. Only because we disagree on buying more at this price. It is the largest holding in my portfolio, by far, so I have to watch balancing and keeping it diversified. Buying more on the dips. Thx.

  • Portfolio Playoffs Conference Championship Game: Disney Vs. Union Pacific [View article]
This was fun. I love it when I have 3 of the final 4 in my portfolio. One thing not considered is the pipeline of DIS. If one segment fails or is lackluster, then the other peices pick it up (parks, merchenadice, ESPN, film, etc, etc) . UNP does not have this.

  • Update: Johnson & Johnson Drops On Compressed Margins, But For The Wrong Reasons [View article]
6685071. Nice comeback. After todays report, nobody is talking the elephant in the room. The company has an Ebola drug in the works and that will be a huge income generator for years to come.

  • How To Play Gilead In 2015: It's Going To Be A Bumpy Ride [View article]
Awesome article for us novices in this field. As a new follower, I look forward to more articles. I especially like you analyzing what the stock may do with competitors products out. I'm a firm believer that you pick the best of breed in the industry and hold. CELG is also great and has a different disease target, so I convince myself to own both. GILD is 3rd largest holding in my portfolio and buying on the dips. I just hope the tactical buybacks occur when competitors report positive news to limit our downside.

  • Wells Fargo Chugs Along: 2014 Earnings [View article]
12.8% ROE is not that bad. I'd take that in this market and sector any day. WFC is best of breed. If you need a financial in your portfolio to balance., this is the one. Also, the comments about the banks needing to change is suspect coming from someone who does not have any stake in this game or intends to in the future.

  • 'Galavant' Could Get Last Laugh For ABC [View article]
Thanks for clarifying. I watched a few minutes of the replay last night. Ugh. Why do people seem to think male bashing is funny? It is way too common in "comedies" today. I don't think it is funny at all and it is degrading the family unit when men are derided by women. The singing was horrendous too. No thanks. Went back to the basketball game.

  • No fear from Disney on movie risk [View news story]
    My thoughts on your comments.
1 and 2) Your opinion and preference are accepted, but they are just that. The numbers show that the world likes these sequels and want more.

    3) The viewship will skyrocket when they move to an 8 team playoff. Hopefully next year. When they left Baylor out of the 4 team playoffs, that hit a cord with many in the college football fan base, even if they aren't fans of Baylor. 8 team playoff is coming.

    4) Agree on the horrible announcing. Where are John Madden's of announcing now? I disagree that where ESPN goes, there goes the "House of Mouse". Disney's diversification prevents this.

    5) I hope your wrong. The buildup to this movie started early in 2013. I hope it lives up to it's hype.

Thanks for posting a thought provoking comment.

Agreed hnwi. Just look at the discloser: The author has no positions in any stocks mentioned, and no plans to initiate any positions within the next 72 hours. But don't let 1 show give you pause about this great company. If you listen to the conf call with Igor and Rusulo, it is apparant that these great minds are forward thinkers and test the water. They did not try the 4k UHD programming "because the market is not ready for it". But don't think for a minute they are thinking about it and ways to grow the business with it.

Jay took him to school. I love his responses. How in the world can you question Disney's investing strategy? They hit a home run by acquiring Pixar, ESPN and Marvel.

I hope they keep SHIELD and Carter. Both are good Marvel shows. I enjoyed both. Galavant is eh. Take or leave.

basman. Agreed. TTWO is best of breed and has a 2.25B market cap. DIS has the resources and it knocks out the competition in this division.

I agree GILD is a great stock and company (3rd largest in my portfolio), but I would diversify if I were you.
