Born and raised in the midwest USA. Was invested in interest rate products in my childhood during the golden days of the 80s. Made good money in junior high delivering newspapers (as have many successful people not included on this list: http://www.libraryspot.com/know/newspaperboys.htm ) I'm a devout christian (mix of nondenominationalism and judaism), and coincidentally, my bedrock fundamental economical philosophy could be described with/as 'the garden of eden'. In evidence thereto, I've always favored zero growth, albeit with gains in productivity. (laws of conservation, in a nutshell) I'm perhaps the only economist, professional, amateur or otherwise whom i've ever heard or known to be an avowed proponent of deflation. I started investing in stocks in high-school, and hedge products after college. I've held jobs in athletics and education, but am primarily self-employed. I tested-out of language and math before college. I took (to appease my father) and aced the law-school admissions test (i guess reading the bible all the way through several times before adolescence has its benefits ; ) without even studying or caring for it, and thus chose not to go to law school (since it seemed i already 'understood law'), but ironically, law has become a significant experience in my adulthood, pro se. Combatting public and organizational corruption has become kindof an offshoot specialty of mine. I've gotten numerous public officials (cops, prosecutors, judges, beaurocrats etc.) fired, disciplined or otherwise punished for their negligence or zealotry (including, by non-retention, an entire ballot of supreme court justices, and not for any reasons you might have heard / ). I was also interestingly m/l 'homeless' for many years, and it was one of the most 'romantic' periods of my life. (and somewhat educational as to certain core constructs of society). I'm primarily, ironically, currently mostly concerned with strengthening my personal balance sheet by buying distressed real-estate and/or building property, while ironically at the same time looking to travel the world to find a beautiful girl with hard-working non-western values. (i.e. no 'sex, drugs and rock n' roll lifestyle). I.e. some poor, barefoot lass in india, persia, cambodia, ethiopia or the amazon, or perhaps a farmer's daughter in the upper remote hinterlands of italy, ireland, poland, spain, chile, or swz, e.g., provided of course that they're thin, virginal, and kind. As for equities and in life, i guess you could say i keep an eye out for deep value, sometimes hard-luck cases. P.S., the picture to the left is one of many i've taken on my visits to phoenix to watch baseball spring training. (Cubs won!). It's a weak crop-job, but was a nice original. Perhaps the most interesting thing i've found while riding my mountain bike throughout the valley there, was not the flora or fauna nor architecture, but these interesting abandoned shopping carts all over the place. In medians and parkways, off highways, in random lots, in rivers and canals, even way out in the desert miles from civilization. This one was of several carts (some cropped out) just lying in a canal in central mesa. I'm not sure what it says or means in the larger scheme of things, but i couldn't help but notice and stop to take pictures whenever i crossed them. If/when i have the time i would like to make a nice hardback-'coffee table' book of them.
