  • "A Whiff of Panic..." [View article]
    Promised Land, Unpromised Land,

    Oil Shale, Oil Sands...
I see pollution and extreme energy to get a barrel of oil from those locations. To be profitable I suspect that oil will have to sell for at least $200 a barrel. And the cleanup from the process will cost at least $100 a barrel.

Oil Sand and Oil Shale just ain't gonna happen in my (limited) view.

"On Fast Money Tuesday, Icahn said he still has hope the company will eventually be sold."
As my pappy used to say... "Wish in one hand and spit in the other and see which get's full first".
He can hope it get's sold.

I find it a Smart move not to discuss the Citron report. Save all you comments and actions for the courts. Saying anything to the general public could cause problems or give the Citron folks some advance info on your future actions.

  • Trade Deficit Drops as Exports Jump [View article]
So much bad news around the world, other nations currencies increasing relative to the dollar, M3 increasing every day, sub-prime meltdown, yet the news from our govt is that everything is improving. I'm just a humble consumer, but I find I just don't believe them anymore. And I suspect I am not alone. We're in for a wild ride, folks.

Wow, now they get to pay ultra low wages to get Chinese factory workers to take trial drugs, and see how many keel over.

I guess after all the lead they put in our toys, turn about is fair play?

  • Mobile Mini: Extremely Compelling Risk/Reward [View article]
I heard in the past that the Chinese do not have the 'empties' shipped back, as it's not cost effective, but just create new containers over there. So these things should be cheap to buy, vs just throwing them away to the scrap yard for minimum cost. I also saw someone who built a house out of them... was it 'Wired' magazine?? don't remember exactly.
Anyway... if they can get them cheap enough, use a cutting torch to pop in a few windows, slap on some insulation and paint.. Hummm , might just work.
