6 Things Apple's Not Doing Right [view article]
Author is clueless as others have sufficiently noted. Seeking Alpha -- PLEASE be more discerning in what you publish! An admitted Apple fan -- for good reason of course :-) I'm always looking for good, valid critiques... but none, zero, nada here. Sep 12 10:01 AMApple Can Disable iPhone Apps, but Should They? [view article]
Transparency is the key... Apple should clearly state their "policing" policy. It's reasonable and smart business to block/remove apps that are malicious degrading the device (iPhone) and/or service. But does this control/intervention extend to apps Apple deems in poor taste? It should NOT. A warning/rating similar to movies about violence, language, sexual content, etc. would suffice giving customers the choice is the Apple way. Aug 08 09:11 AM
Apple Sues Mac Clone Maker Psystar [view article]
"Apple apparently was waiting to see if Psystar was legit..." and likely wanting to avoid drawing attention to them = free advertising. Any independent assessment if they're legit? So much internet reporting read like press releases, some investigative reporting would be welcomed and refreshing! Jul 15 11:14 AMiPhone As Platform = Cha-Ching! [view article]
In U.S. we're now paying $4/gal. for gas, Europe purportedly nearly $8. Same for telecom cost? Anybody know? ...b/c without tethering (using phone for laptop internet connect) I also feel "taken" at these increasing prices. BTW it's not a razor 'n blades model b/c the razor costs hundreds of dollars... plus $36 at&t activation fee. Great technology, but data service pricing likely to keep me away for my modest needs. Jun 12 04:23 AMWhat's Better: BlackBerry or iPhone? [view article]
Some valid points but author concludes, "touch screens... are certainly not functional". I rarely trust the herd mentality, but there's good reason vendors are rushing iPhone knock-offs to market. Touch screens are the ONLY reasonable solution for packing ever-increasing functions into a handheld device. Chicklet keyboards are for kids and midgets (sorry, vertically challenged). May 13 10:06 AMA Look at Apple's Q2 EPS Estimate Trend [view article]
Suggest giving the data the "so what" test... does the data actually show anything, including NO trend/correlation which is what I deduce from these tables.AAPL seems volatile around earnings reports and other announcements (MacWorld product intros) but wonder if a timeframe of 3 weeks or 2 months would show a trend? Tho other factors intervene in a longer view (changing economy, housing crisis, etc.) a pattern may still emerge. Look forward to more. Apr 17 11:12 AM
