      When netflix's loyalty fades there in for trouble. their set top box solution is set up for the short term conditions. blockbuster announced a trial kiosk the other day. it currently downloads to a portable device that can dock to a television. So it allready trumps netflix. and the kiosk is intended to become compatible with a variety of devices. As to content; movielink gave bbi access to tons of content, and the device that is compatible currently has been tested in the french market for a year so the studios can see the effectiveness of the DRM on it. Netflix is counting on its single stream of subscribers to carry them, blockbuster is becoming more versitile and flexible which is what the consumers are demanding.       Hey once again you show your bias! Like others have said, Why would anyone buy a device that can only work with one service at any price? Blockbuster is working on a total solution; Downloading from kiosks in addition to the web at home to any type of media. Blockbusters library in movielink is much larger than netflix's and has a greater variety. If it werent for the Circut City mess, BBI stock would be through the roof.       Why not utilize this very valuable realestate in a more effective manner? Samestore sales were down because there was no reaction to change. If a proper or any recation had occured there would have been growth like you will see in the Q1 numbers. closing stores is a going out of business strategy. Apr 18 02:40 PM

      im an insider in the blockbuster side, and i see keyes' moves as game changing. What he was refering to[my interpretation] is the way they utilize their space. Apple stores make oooodles of dollars per square foot, where as even radio shack beats bb at loast measure. Jim has taken on maximizing the potential of the bricks and mortar by letting employees innovate, providing a larger product assortment, getting revshare agreements with gaming companies and staying ahead of trends. You can see from the preliminary Q1 results that something is different, and the Ideas that back that up are jim's, i trust that he can make this work and use it to Continue the upward climb that we have allready started.
