  • AIG CDS Unwind: From a Waterfall to a Trickle [View article]
Just wait for the commercial RE resets....they will have to find another conduit ,like AIG,to funnel money into that mess.

BTW,Obama said this morning that TARP paybacks would be re-invested into smaller banks.Nobody is talking about that..

This is a scheme that would make Mr. Ponzi proud. With every transaction generating fees, the bonuses were huge for a lot of the players and life was good.

But it didn't end well, unlike most fairytales ......

  • Losing Trades: When to Double Down [View article]
If you are using correct stops, you won't have to make that decision....trouble with that is,like last year, whipsaw kicked your butt.

  • CDS Industry: Zero Sum Game or Ponzi Scheme?  [View article]
Aren't premiums paid to buy protection like any insurance? The problem lies in the reserves for losses, which apparently are non-existent with many co.s writing swaps. When losses or marks come piling in,the problems are exposed and spread to other counterparties.

The author is assuming that the 1% comes out of the gross...It's premium expense, like your Blue Cross....I guess....

I used to get a good trading idea occasionally from the Fast Money people, but lately they seem to be pumping the same stuff every day...Nagerian coal, the bald guy Walmart and Finerman continues to be short BBT and she mentions it over and over...she is getting killed on that one!

  • Market Panic: 7 Notes and Opportunities [View article]
I had to read #4 several times, plus I went to the link provided...Not surprised, saw it coming a few days ago. This backdoor scheme is the first of many and may result in constitutional questions, indeed!

If you start adding up what the fed has funded just in the last couple of weeks, its startling...one example under the radar..Paid back JPM 140bl supplied to Lehman bankruptcy.

Just a drop in the bucket,or a raindrop in the ocean...
