  • Six Argentina-Based Investment Opportunities [View article]
Argentina is third most popular in S.America next to Columbia. Argentia is the 8th largest in size, not population. The eighth most populous country in the world is Bangladesh. Argentina is not even in the top twenty in population.

Why is land size a factor in investing?

  • ETF Screening: Trend Lines and Track Records [View article]
Tom, your trading strategy sound like a very workable model. I have been an advocate of providing income from growth for many years. The average financial advisor is more concerned with reducing risk and the concept of providing income form growth is one I have had since I was first licensed back in '82. Thank you, I appreciate all that you contribute and whaI learn from you.

As for the bond allocation, wouldn't a floating rate holding make the most sense, given the unpredicability of rates. Why hold long bonds and endure principal volitility for so little relative yield?

Roger, I am a fan. I have many years experience and am a financial advisor, and I have enjoyed your usually very sound information. One comment about PZD. If it is what its name implies, regardless of the price of oil, which historical has put the kibosh on alternative energy investments, it should hold up well considering the big push to deduce CO2 emissions. What do you think?

  • A Smorgasboard of ETF Ideas [View article]
As for an ETF idea - With the fundamentally formulated ETFs I would like to see a more concentrated index with 20 to 50 holdings. I would think that you would get a bigger bang with fewer holdings.
