  • Apple Earnings: Ecosystem Contraction Playing Out; Regulatory Risk Looms In China [View article]
BRICS is the acronym for an association of five major emerging national economies: Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa. The grouping was originally known as "BRIC" before the inclusion of South Africa in 2010. The BRICS members are all developing or newly industrialised countries, but they are distinguished by their large, fast-growing economies and significant influence on regional and global affairs; all five are G-20 members.

  • Asia Is The Future Of Facebook [View article]
Facebook is a lot more than a simple utility, and even if it was it is the current standard in it's field. Of course there are other similar but none with the reach and or analytical tools. It's a digital marketer dream. As traditional marketing push methods fade ( newspaper, tv, billboards web ads) newer pull marketing methods will and have emerged. People want to buy not be sold. Business will figure out and understand the shift in buying habits and understand the tools Facebook offers to engage and create a loyal fan base. Currently traditional marketing methods are being employed on Facebook with limited success for advertisers, however It is still early in the evolution from push marketing to pull marketing. The future is bright for Facebook. On a cautionary note, there as so called click farms in Asia and India that could skew the authors charts.

  • Organovo Currently Has Nothing In The Works For Tissue Implantation -- Its Main Value Driver [View article]
One of the main arguments of this author and other "shorts" are that human organs or tissue suitable for implantation is years if not decades down the road. Ok agreed, even though there have be successful organ and tissue implants. Can we also agree that the ONVOs and TNGNs are paving that long road ?

  • Organovo: Modest Expectations For The Liver Tox Assay [View article]
Doug, love your style, unlike some of your readers I'm not that busy so I keep wading through these articles. Didn't tngn or someone have a bladder successfully implanted in a young man over 10 years ago? I'm long on onvo based on the "we don't know what we don't know " school of thought similar to the comments of the guy with the soda straw. Keep up the good work.
