We are in a depression and we have made the same mistakes the brought the Japaneese the lost decade of the 90's. We have around ten years of up and down with no real recovery.

We have no rule of law, the SEC is letting GS and others have a free rein over the stock markets. There is no sheriff in this town. The hype and deception will eventually come out and it is a shame for someone who talks transparency but helps the bankers richer on their mistakes. The big banks are insolvent and should have been allowed to fail. The forward looking requirement for banks and financial institutions is somewhere around 50% of what it was in 2007. The banks must fail for us to get out of this quagmire.
Using Bernake as a profit of what is to come is a complete failure to monitor history. He has been 100% wrong since the start of this disaster, why should anyone believe him now?
777 could be a sign from GOD. I think that the American people showed that they want their country back. We the people have to stop the GREED! We are going to have a global recession or depression no mater how much the banks are helped. Their valuations are still to high for their ability to produce revenue. This is something that isn't talked about. It is blamed on short selling the root of all evil. If the SEC had not banned shorts on financial we might have only we might have only lost 200 to 350 on the Dow. Brilliant and the government wants give them 700 billion come on really. Just look at Mr. Paulson's and Mr. Bernake's track record over the last year.

You say we can't get from here to there without nuclear? I disagree! Until we can dispose of the waste already produced we should not create more. The negative will never succeed. We should be building wind turbines at the rate we produced tanks in WWII. If the government had an energy policy that would reduce our dependence on foreign energy suppliers that would be helpful.
We can do it but we have to have direction. The only one who seems to have a clue is T. Boone Pickens.
We need to go to wind power for electrical production and use the freed up natural gas to fuel our vehicles. I recently returned from Thailand and they have Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) refiling stations in most provinces in their country. This is equivalent to Texas having a CNG refiling station is every county. They are converting all types of vehicles large trucks, small trucks, buses and private cars. I would guess that over 100,000 plus vehicles have been converted. They are also using E20 at all refilling stations. If third world country's can do it why can't we? We should be ashamed out ourselves and out country. If we don't want to become a looser on the world stage we must take strong action. We should have an Apollo project for energy.
And always remember what your mother told you, that can't never did anything.
