One more thought: Where does the concept of protected classes end? I see no clear boundary so I can imagine infinite expansion until business owners can't refuse service to a customer pointing a gun at them. Oh sorry
they might be able to weasle out with a lame excuse like "he was robbing me at gunpoint". Here's another fly in your ointment: look at the ones you are calling heroes! WalMart. Benioff (Marc with a "c" ... special). These are not good companies or good people. They are greedy in the case of the former (richest family on earth just now starting to pay their employees a fair wage) and habitual liar in the case of the latter (constantly reports non GAAP profits since he's never shown a real profit).

It's not about hurting their feelings (and you know that), it's about freedom to choose whom to serve. If I were a masseur (and I've fantasized about it) I would want to be able to refuse some clients. Heck, I would want to mainly have women as clients. This would reduce my revenue, hurt my bottom line, even magnified when they told their friends. They could protest outside my shop. But that would be my choice. So yes, I would prefer to roll back all protected classes - - in this context at least. I am serious and just in case you think I am an idiot, I have an MBA. You may disagree with me but I am well educated and I am not a bigot. This comes down to who's rights trump the others. It is hard to start and maintain a business. I side with the business owner.

If I wanted to buy a wedding cake and any given baker didn't want to take the order, I would just go to another baker. To get all upset about it? That's a problem.

Can someone explain to me why any service provider in a free country is not allowed to accept or not accept any order for service?

Until it goes down, then us shorts will be smiling. Shorting takes patience.

Enjoyed all three responses. Enjoyed the fact that no one from SA so far has agreed with the author. Enjoyed the comparison to HLF. Staying short this one.

you have guts. I am still short but a much smaller position. I think about the fact that there are several possible buyers who are sitting on loads of cash and who have bought other companies in the past for ridiculous mark ups. Doesn't have to be logical. My best example is Facebook buying that phone app for what was it $20B? Makes Balmer's purchase of the Lakers seem sane in comparison. I quit TSLA, CMG, NFLX & others but this one is my great white whale. Good luck.

Love the comparison to Elon, for whom I have only a little less contempt than for Marc with a c. The difference is that I closed my TSLR short last week when it broke through the previous high but I am short CRM indefinitely even if just on principle (smaller position).

eloquence? liars can be eloquent. greedy ISPs? So Reed is the good guy?
Money doesn't grow on trees and server farms and optic fiber are not free nor is it installed or maintained for free by elves in the night. Someone pays so why not the ones who use the most bandwidth?

could not disagree more "best short since 87" ??? And you can tell by my adopted name that I am not against shorting when conditions warrant.
    to keep it simple - - unlike 87, 2000 & 08 ... there is no bubble. I do agree
that we can get a correction of 5 to 10%, but that can happen anytime, and
getting the timing right on corrections is just not that easy. There may be a valid reason for VIX staying low, it doesn't guarantee a bear market around the corner.
