America Frets About the Economy as China Buys 'Stuff'

The USA days of great science and adventure are done...fini. With a budget deficit of five solar masses and imploding ..to become a black hole for the future. An unwillingness to confront our problems with longterm sound policies....yes even now. The Democrats plan will in history compete with the republicans (Bush Jr.Tarp)plan for the most inane, idiotic, assinine misallocation of resources.
The government is coddling the populace and caused this mess by not letting things go down as it would(should have) in 1990 & 2000. No pain, no gain..

Obama really should have announced a wholesale shift in Energy Policy, day one --supported restructure of housing debt at the individual level. Raised taxes on imported oil--an announced that oil tax revenue was to service debt only. And that additional revenue would be serviced thru import oil tax increases until our addiction is nullified..

Most importantly investigations into who,what and why we are at this point should be paramount. Heads should roll..start with Greenspan and his micro management of the economy... !!!! There were a ton of red flags being waved about derivatives since 2001- before it became the monster it is.
