Odin is a Norse god and he is solvent. He is old and cranky. He believes that he has seen the highs and lows of a few cycles from the front-lines of a storied trading desk, giving him some insight into the future (though mead often makes it all very hazy).

Even though he is a curmudgeon and dismisses younger and lesser gods, he is by no means jaded. However, his cynicism curve is currently inverted: he believes there is a great deal of pain in the short term, yet the future is bright. He believes in the resiliency of the human spirit and the futility of daily P&L. However, he endures his daily P&L bravely.

He reads voraciously. He comments occasionally. He provides solutions on rare occasions.

His primary reason for reading, commenting, writing analysis on SA is to hone his views and win bets.
