Can you spell FUD Robt, because that is all your comment is. Your knowledge of AAPL leaves a lot to be desire.

I was shocked to see how bald and droopy eyed Marc Courtenay looked at the recent blog posting. Rumors have been swirling about the possibility that the loss of hair is a sign of much more serious health concerns.
It has been said that the continued loss of hair has effected Marc's ability to discern between FUD and fact. The Seeking Alpha community expresses their wishes for a speed recovery.

What is wrong with both RIMM and AAPL winning?
The world is a big place and a huge market, there is plenty of room for both to do well and profit.
Being Canadian I support RIMM and I love AAPL products and own shares, I my world both succeed.
It seems my friends south of the 49th. always need to have a winner and a loser. Why not learn to play win/win?
      EH!

Jay can you say "healthy lifestyle", it is my understanding that is how Steve lives his life, my collar bones show too and as far as I know I am not terminally ill.
Just for today Steve Jobs is the very best CEO of Apple, just for today, tomorrow how knows and tomorrow will take care of it's self.
This article says more about Jay than it does about Steve, have your ever thought of doing something useful with your life Jay?

"the outside possibility that Apple may finally allow the operating system to be licensed for use on machines made by other companies"

      I don't think so!

Some people just don't understand Apple.

"Apple is going to announce big back-to-school promotions"
      I don't think so.
"Apple may be willing to sacrifice margins in order to gain a share of the market"
      I don't think so.
"Apple may release an ultra-portable device within a year"
      The word is "may".
"I'm hoping Apple also tackles No. 2—by including support for Global Positioning System [GPS] navigation"
Including a battery you carry on your back.
"Since Apple is mum on the subject, we can only speculate."
Isn't that what the content of this article is? A lot of words about nothing.

Invest on what I know is a fact, and I make money on what other people believe is going to be a fact.

    • Rogers' iPhone Offering: Is it Worth the Wait? [view article]
wallawallabingbang do you live in the Great White North?

Yes Apple is a game changer, I agree.

But we are talking about Mr. Rogers Neighbourhood here and the rules are different. Matthew Ingram's article was right on in regards to Rogers, ask any Canadian. There are many unseen reasons why it has taken so long for the iPhone to come to Canada.

If Steve Jobs can change Rogers the my hat is off to him, but seeing is believing.

    • Rogers Communications' iPhone Coup: Not All It's Cracked Up to Be? [view article]
I fully agree with my fellow Canadians regarding Rogers. I would not deal with them if they were the last cell phone company on the planet, nor would I deal with Bell after my last experience. That leaves only Telus out here in BC. I do not own a cell phone at present and have been waiting for the iPhone so I guess it will have to be unlocked if I do get one?
Remember that we in Canada are 1/10th the size of the US market spread from one end to the other with 7 major urban centers.

    • Apple's Branding Strategy Delivers Superior Results [view article]
To reiterate what the previous commentators have said. Apple's brand was not built by advertising. It was the result of exception design and development, products that just work, superior support (AppleCare), the ability to look at old things in a new way (iPhone) and most of all to not listen to any of the naysayers but instead listen to the customers and give them what they want.
With the release of the iPhone Apple did very little advertising, the product created it's own because of it's innovation, not the Apple name.
