I am a risk averse dividend growth investor whose primary goal is capital preservation and generating a stable and consistently increasing income stream. 40% of the portfolio is dedicated to DGI where i buy sustainable, wide moat and capital efficient stocks at under 20X FCF and a yield >= 2%. (use david fish CCC list). I hold at least a 40% cash position to mitigate portfolio risk. The remaining 20% is used for strategies such as GARP, macro trades, inverse ETFS, currency trades and options. Puts on indexes are used as hedges and so are inverse ETFs. Shorting and leveraged ETFs are rarely used due to the inherent risks of these strategies. All positions in my portfolio ($100000 at beginning-10 nov 2013) have a starting allocation of $2000(2%) with a 25% trailing stop used. The maximum positions i wish to have at any given time are 30. Finally, my aim is to achieve a 9% annual return each year.
