  • Why You Should Own Gold and Silver Mining Stocks and Warrants [View article]
It seems to me many Canandian junior mining companes may be pink sheets in the US market. Does that make a difference in any way? I tend to agree with the author when the stock is not listed in the U.S. However it is a higher commission for the discount broker to purchase on the TSX.

  • The Reflation Trade Portfolio  [View article]
One has to be prudent in defining "emerging market" curriencies. Brazil and China have an agreement to trade with one another in their own "emerging market" currencies--in other words, avoiding the use of US dollar. Resource countries like Brazil, Canada, Australia can support their currencies.

  • Madoff Hearings Pull Down the Market [View article]
Since the regulatory agencies appear to be incompetent, here is a good use of TARP money: Give them out to people like H. Markopolos to do the investigatory work. Compensation might be a retaining fee, with bonuses or a percentage if they prove a ponzi or naked shorts, or some other fraudulent scheme before the SEC. Thoughts on this?

  • Historic Financial Collapse Underway? [View article]
Sensetti is not so far off base, folks. I just viewed a DVD from netflix called "Speaking Freely: Chalmers Johnson" a political scientist who wrote a trilogy (inadvertently) on how our military-industrial complex (the Pentagon) and the CIA i(the private army of the State Dept.) enforces our foreign policy. Without the threat of military force, the U.S. is a superpower no more since it manufactures nothing constructive (only destructive), it is in debt, the dollar is tanking. The U.S. establishes military bases, pays its workers (military personnel) minimally with fewer and fewer benefits, and provides no audited statements.
