The iPhone and iPod Touch can not and WILL NOT be replicated on any level from the competition. Why? One word... iTunes. AAPL snuck in the back door of Windoze with iTunes and although not perfect it works and works very well for the masses.

It just works AND it is STILL working. Why make it more complicated for the consumer by adding a variety of hardware options? The Geek era of the 90's has come and gone. If the Geeks wanna !@#$ around with their alternate mobile OS by all means do it. However in doing so don't bash Apple in the process. The reason I say this is due to the fact that every other company out there TRYING to compete with Apple is attempting to COPY Apple. The competition envy s Apple's position, yet due to the haphazard greedy telecoms and manufactures there will be too many options and no synergy with Droid or any other mobile OS. Windows mobile I might add is just a JOKE.

NOT licensing Mac OX was the BEST business decision Apple ever made. That decision alone gives Apple the upper hand. The SDK is world class and solid as a rock. The average Joe does not want to !@#$ around with hard to find firmware updates, fractured software updates across multiple versions of hardware that may or may not work. Windows Vista is a great example of how fractured the PC has become. Windows 7 btw ain't the answer to the PC problem... just more headaches down the road for the IT geek squads of the world.

If Droid is not careful they will end up in the same situation. My gut tells me the Droid will sell. How well will it sell? Time will tell. However, the user experience of the iPhone, iPod Touch, iTunes & App Store will never be matched or replicated. Apple has a humongous lead in both hardware AND GO FIGURE software........ and they ain't sittin' still. The release of iPhone 4.0 along with the rumored tablet from Apple (IF true) will be the nail in a handful of handset manufactures coffin.

The upside to AAPL is HUGE!!! When they report next quarters earnings your jaws will drop. GAAP vs Non GAAP....does that ring a bell? ANYONE???? Mark my words NAYSAYERS and keep laughing @ this little old toy computer maker because the best has yet to come down the pipe.

I have been following this train since 1990..... And for the record I am tech savvy across MULTIPLE PLATFORMS...

Prior to the release of said iPhone in 2007 which btw was doomed to fail by OH so many VASTLY more knowledgeable players in the ANAL ist world than I.......If my memory serves me correctly...? I seem to remember AAPL had released patent drawings on the rumored device.... (I printed them out and have them to this day).... The drawings posted showed said device with only 3 to 4 buttons with a HUGE screen......

WELL making a long story short ANAL ists laughed it off....and the #1 complaint of a yet to be released device was... GET THIS!!!! The screen will SMUDGE and be covered with finger prints YADA YADA YADA!!!!

Well, I look back now and emphatically say to them FU!!!

You know WHY I say FU!!!???? It’s because NOW all those playing catch up, have or WANT huge touch screens with minimal buttons....and the same user experience. Go Figure....?????

All those NAYSAYER'S are now scrambling to create the very device they once scoffed @...... And people still have the audacity to criticize the device they are attempting to COPY!!!!

My mother on my advice got in @ $92 & my buddy listened to me and got in @ $42.... What the hell do I know? I don't have the self proclaimed title of tech analysts. So what the hell would I know?

AAPL has significant upside when you look past all the ANAL ist BS. AAPL Long.

Droid? Time will tell... Hot @ first only to become a fragmented mess, leading into acquisition upon acquisition. I.e. T-Moble with Microdog's acquisition of Danger!!! Yeah that's what I say.... Danger Will Robinson!!!!!! Danger Dr. Smith the Droid is COMING!!! And it ain't in a good way for a tightly knit user experience.

Yes: Palm develops the hardware and software for Pre.
Yes: RIMM develops the hardware and software for BB.
Yes: Apple develops the hardware and software for iPhone & iPod Touch. Right?

I always come to this same conclusion time and time again.....of ALL these companies name ONE that owns and has developed a Desktop (Laptop) OS that is certified UNIX which ALSO possesses a SDK that is seamless between the 3 spaces ie. Desktop, Laptop & Mobile handset?

and as far as price goes......in the netbook vs laptop sector... a Macbook can be had for under $700. You just need to know where to look. Apple too has a plan to be competitive in the netbook space.

As far as Flash on iPhone debate its a No win 4 AAPL. Why?

1. They do not allow it right.... So people BITCH... I can run Flash on this or that..... or other than iPhone... WELL if SO.. GO !@#$%ing buy that handset and stop ur Whining!!! we don't need you.

2. IF AAPL we to allow Flash on iPhone??? Now you have those same BITCHERS & WHINERS saying THE BATTEY LIFE ON iPhone SUCKS!! & ON & ON!!!! THIS AND THAT....

See it is a no win.... SO...

Apple made the right move not to allow Flash on iPhone. Its a resource HOG in the mobile space and is unnecessary.

Better native Apps with the SDK can & will be developed that will make Flash on iPhone obsolete.

Now WHEN and IF there is an Apple Tablet that is a different story.

But mark my words people will BITCH & WHINE about the Apple tablet IF it every sees the light of day...

If you don't like it DON'T BUY iPHONE and go with Android. No loss to AAPL they are doin' Just Fine.. ;)

Does it exisit on Android...?....... or for that matter any Android remote for ANY music app on any platform that controls your music library...Does it exist and is it as easy to install and use....?

Yes it does... BUT take a good look and give me your feedback.. Does this look EASY to use and set up? Seriously.... Is there Cover flow for iTunes on Android....? I mean its a gimmick.... notice too... he's controling a Mac.. I would love to c it on Windows.

This android OS will NEVER become a seamless user experience... EVER... Why? Too many handsets from too many hardware manufactures. Too many BS options... too many options period that won't work well.... ie BLOATWARE.....All those who created t5he BLOAT will want to control. Android will morph into the most convoluted cluster !@#$ of a platform the mobile space will ever encounter. 10 x the PC MicroDog Fiasco We see today.

All u naysayers out there are the same who said the iPod 2001 would fail and the same naysayers who said that the iPhone 2007 would FAIL. After 2 Billion downloads and 85,000 Apps available I would LOVE to hear your arguments as to exactly HOW Android will create such a seamless user experience as Apple.
