      E*Trade Primed for a Breakout
If etrade is doubling their outstanding shares by issuing additional shares instead of doubling what current shareholders have, they are just like a near bankcrupt government printing more money. Their share value is going to go down in a drain. Where is pressure for massive breakout for shorts?

I am not clear on where is the additional 600 million share come from. If you have 10,000 shares of Etrade today, will you have 20,000 shares automatically after they double. So the price of stock will go down to $2 if it is $4 today. Or are they issuing additional 600 millions share backed up by some assets?

E*Trade's Annual Shareholder Meeting Should Pressure the Shorts
I see etrade stock is heavily manipulated by hedge funds. They shorted a lot of shares. Their goal is to bankcrupt etrade. One way to do that is to keep etrade's share price low, so it will scare away many potential customers. Without much increase from core income, etrade might eventually bankcrupt. Etrade ceo's most important job right now is to gain back people's confidence in etrade, and boost its share price to a good looking level.

      E*Trade: Hindsight with Binoculars
I think E-trade is under price right now because,
      1. The stock market is very volatile. Industry is good.
      2. Our currency is depreciating faster than ever I can remember and there are not so many good investment choices beside stocks.
      3. It still holds a very recognizable name. Common people know etrade is a firm that trades stock.
      4. Its core product is still very competitive in the market.
