He gave no reasons for thinking that the Volt won't work in the cold and his statement that Chevrolet has not solved all the engineering problems is also without factual support and would not be of much importance if it did have factual support, since Chevrolet might be able to solve those problems in due time. They do have engineers working on those problems., after all. A heater to keep the battery warm and a thermostat to control it is simple.
