  • 3 Reasons Why The Market Will Likely Sell Off This Week  [View article]
It can't go down, not till after the election.

The Fed will keep it artificially high with the expectation of QE, the worse things get , the more likely QE , so the market goes up.

The expectation of QE is much more effective than actual QE

When the levee finally breaks, it will be sudden and massive.

  • Markets are killing the chance for QE3 by frontrunning the action (continually bouncing on hope of Fed action). The "liquidity put" will only get triggered at substantially lower levels, says Citi's Mohammed Apabhai. He sees 1,285 in the S&P as a key technical level (S&P is currently 1,325) and additional QE coming only if the market were to decline 12% from here.   [View news story]
    What a sad, sad story

  • David Gille attempts to explain the collapse in the 2X VIX ETN (TVIX -27.6%) even as the VIX ETF (VXX +2.7%) surges. Unlike ETFs, an ETN in certain instances can have little correlation to the index it is tracking, so selling/buying can drive it far from underlying value. The TVIX premium to NAV got far too high, and now is correcting.   [View news story]
This not a VXX tracking error , or even an extremely bad job at tracking the VXX

This is gross negligence on behalf of Credit Suisse which will damage all ETF's once this goes public.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a class action suit no matter what their fine print says -- No one signed up for this
