I have a graduate degree in economics and have been doing financial analysis, business cases, marketing for 25 years in the telcomm and government contracting industries. I've been actively investing in stocks for ~ 25 years..
I am a private investor that looks for long term trends as opposed to short term trades.
As such I lean more towards fundamental analysis when investing but do consider the technical view when either buying or selling
I AM A NUMBER DUMMY!!
A term I use for the general public MIDDLE CLASS. We are the financially uneducated, unexposed to the stock market and financial investments. Most of us don't even know what the fiscal cliff is. One woman thought it was 70 ft. tall! WOW!
I for one, think we should start teaching our kids financial responsibilities in schools, at an early age. How about a REAL education for once.
Why we need classes like home eck is beyond me. Cooking & sewing?? Read the box & microwave it! I for one support a small tax on investment income to support financial education in public schools. Could help save America.
I'm coming to the game late, so I'm quite aggressive towards growth.
My thoughts on the fiscal cliff?? Shove ur scare tactics where the sun don't shine!!
As for investing, I shoot from the hip. I go with my gut. Common sense goes along way. I don't buy hype. EPS what? What ticker is that?

MBA by training with a focus in healthcare (specifically medical simulation). Have dreams of someday leisurely circumnavigating the globe and seeing the world from a 35' sailboat. Investment strategy is primarily dividend focused but with a contrarian streak towards special situations and treasure hunting.

I have a diverse background—as a financial journalist, resident physician, mixed martial artist, painter, entrepreneur, chemistry instructor and web developer—that enabled me to pioneer the “Integrated Investing Research” approach.
I provide consulting to clients, both the retail and professional investors. I accurately forecasted many clinical trials, such as the Flint Trials for Intercept, the Ascend Trials for InterMune and the Affinity Trials MannKind, just to name a few. Through Vincata Enterprises, LLC, I helped many clients to unlock substantial values for their investments.
As an expert in biopharmaceutical analysis, I am also more than capable of analyzing any other industries. Though not shown on Seeking Alpha, I have picked an aggregate basket of outperforming stocks.
Investing in biotech is highly risky, but it can be quite rewarding when investors have an edge in data analysis. Physicians who are rigidly scientific tend to lack the analytical prowess of financial experts. Conversely, financiers usually do not possess a physician’s medical expertise. Likewise, scientists are skillful in data analysis; yet they might not be familiar with a physician’s prescribing patterns, which is a requisite to successful biotech investing.
