Investing for retirement, which is later this year according to the current plan. I work for a too big to succeed bank - I enjoy it, so if I like whatever I am doing this fall, retirement could be postponed a little.
I've followed a typical progression from mutual funds to etfs to individual stocks. I mostly focus on dividend growth stocks, with a few preferred stocks and corporate bonds sprinkled in. I am in my late 40's, so I have been more focused on long-term growth - but starting to think about generating income since I am nearly ready to retire.
