there is visa europe.. and while they opted out on joining visa inc. there is good reason to believe in the future they will merge... i see no reason they wouldn't

man i knew you would be back....you can't stay away just like i can't or anybody else...got to see what everbody is saying. ma was up today and v was down just a little flip flop v was up yesterday and ma was down.

i use the same saying sometimes "in it to win it" and this ought to be our new slogan for this v forum....i believe that some of us are just excited and feel the vibe so much that we want to capitalize on what we see as a possible once in a lifetime opportunity..... i have never invested in the stock market, but when i started reading about visa and then comparing it to mastercard i had my wife draw out 5k and send to scottrade, then i started making money(got in at $66) and i spread the word son to everbody and then i felt bad because it seemed as though none of my family or friends either believed me or didn't have the money...... after v went up to about 82 i got in again with anoter 5k and i am still making money.......i am also in it for the long run (i don't have anymore money to put into other stocks)..... 2/3 of my family savings is riding on this.... and i fully understand that i could lose it all.... but i believe this is a good company and i am playing a big gut feeling here betting on visa.... and this message board helps me stay positive..... i know i looked at the options deal and i looked at borrowing margin, but im trying to be calm and reasonable inside a hurricane it seems like... and trying not to be greedy.... so i have held my core position and will probably continue to do so.....i know tha your tired of giving advice and i understand that i have read some of your earlier posts....and you don't want to feel any responsibility for people going into debt.... but i put my money down several days before finding this post and without getting any advice (except articles i read and comparison to ma).......i think we are all stuck out on a limb a little bit, but we will be ok.....in the end i might not get rich but my money has made me more than the 1% it was getting from the bank..... im up 20% since april 10.... good luck everbody.....

doesn't 10 contracts = 1000 shares (1 contract = 100 shares)? also (correct me if im wrong still trying to understand options) aren't you betting that the v price will be over 100 sometime in June and therefore you make money by selling it immediatley or if the v price is under 100 would you not loose your premium for the contract. and what is the contract price?

i think you ought to name your future yacht....Lady Visa or Lady V....what do you think?............to anybody: scottrade wants 8% for a margin account....does this sound about right with other low brokerage firms?......and if somebody wants to give me a good sell/put advice im all ears.....i would like to try some options but im hesitant...
