  • A Natural Gas Centric Strategic Long-Term Comprehensive Energy Policy  [View article]
    hi fitz
even though i don't care for more legislation i am convinced you are a patriotic guy that wants the best for the u.s.. yeah i know i'm one of those minimal govt types.
about a year back? rentech seemed to show some promise for much cleaner coal (diesel) fuel at about $60 a barrel. i would be interested in your thoughts on rentech. it seems in my amatuer view that this would make another good alternative if it is reasonably clean. also it seems in less need of subsidy.
have to agree that oil production is not going to keep up if the economy starts to improve.
do you like the idea and numbers on algae oil?
politically i guess we both are left out and can probably agree that the "2" parties need a swift kick in the pants and the rise of a couple of more would be beneficial to our country.

i have always found you helpful. when you disagree i pay attention as you seem reasonable and intelligent to me.
someone did a number on me one weekend awhile back. i lost about 150 ups. i can't imagine wastng the time to do that.
i make it a point to leave my posts alone. if someone makes a direct answer in opposition to me i leave their post alone too. after a few days i started easing back up so that was kind of gratifying.

  • Stick with Gold and the Oil Stocks [View article]
    hey fitz
kind of liked your investment advice. i accumulated gold and silver back in the 90s. i don't much like slv or gld because i suspect they can't cover all their shares. everybody probably keeps a safety deposit box. it is an expense most of us already have. mine is crammed full. if we get a nice hit on gold and silver i will probably take the opportunity and just upsize my box. using this it is good to keep an eye on te criminals in washington, and be ready to retrieve your metals incase obamamama starts sniffing around like a porker after truffles.
i kind of like bhp too. i sold out while i could still take a nice profit. just trading these days as i just don't trust investing in this environment. maybe if cvx and xom get hit some more i will start to accumulate again.
i didn't much like bush but in comparison to obamamama he looks a little better everyday. i still call terrorists, terrorists instead of man-made- disaster-makers or whatever the new pc crap is.
pickens still tilting at windmills? he made money selling clne when it was up, shorting it on the way down and he still has his handout. maybe he should get a bailout.
o.k. fitz just for you and your dogma.

  • Natural Gas: a Supply Shock in the Making [View article]
thanx for the article. would love to catch ng way down again. last time i did pretty good. ngs did o.k. for me too. i probably won't be converting my vehicle. looks expensive and troublesome and asking for tax breaks, subsidies or favors stinks a little like welfare to me. am i mistaken in thinking the private sector built the present fueling infrastructure for gasoline with profit as the incentive? if ng can do it this way i'm all for it. go for it. it would be a good supplement to help bridge the gap as we work toward u.s. energy independence. right now it only seems practical for short range fleets such as federal express or ups. since gas and oil both come from drilling and we need both why do we seem to have an outcry to not drill? it looks like a double plus as far as u.s. prosperity is concerned. cheap transportation lubricates the progression of civilization.

  • The Current Stagnation of Natural Gas Vehicles in America [View article]
    paulk
hi my friend haven't seen you post in a while. was hoping you were doing well.
    fitz
if we realeased our own oil production combined with canada it looks like the total would help thwart the arab profits. i have seen conflicting figures about who supplies what percentage but it seems they agree canada is our biggest supplier. the terrorist nations are still going to sell their oil on the world market. seems our best weapon would be increased domestic production. or we could start some more wars like iraq. that issue confuses me. they hate us so let's hurt their finances and oil production but the open action of bush was evil? i was against the war but i did not believe it was focused on the correct targets and i did not like risking ground troops. i prefered devastating precise blows to retaliate. however if i thought the arabs were evil then i might reconsider the bush tactics.
cop will recover i think. whether with oil or ng. i wonder how many fleets run local and return every night like say ups? those make sense. the long haulers don't for reasons your article pointed out.
another poster or 2 pointed out that building fueling stations seems expensive for a temporary solution. i am very glad energy got cheaper. it has been a cushion to correction/recession/d... cheap transportation is essential to the progression of civilization. i was a member of pickkens plan but to me from the inside it started to feel like political action to help an old billionaire who made some wrong bets. perhaps that oversimplifies but i don't want to waste time on that. it looks like it is passing on now anyway. i withdrew.
i like ng if that is your choice. maybe move to a state where you can buy what you choose and even refuel.
as a trader that much prefers investing but had to roll with the punches i still like companies that make a profit on an ever inreasing line. there has been a lot of outrage over oil profits but the percentages are not obscene. that was just political finger pointing. sometimes those rascals lie. it seems the change was the same as always only with a more blatant socialist focus. i will never understand americans that want to force their ideas about what is best on others through legislation. as my pretty half pointed out, "what happened to that admirable american attribute, live and let live?" God save the republic from "good intentions" and "lofty visionaries". it is wrong for oil as it is wrong for ng.
what happens with taxes from here is no longer my concern as i have made sure i am protected at least for the next couple of years. i am against the bloated unconstitutional federal sow and nanny state so my marbles are out of the game.
still waiting for fuel prices and economic crises to drive down the price on that old idiot wish of an old type muscle car.

  • Obama 'Shines' Natural Gas [View article]
    wow fitz
my main point was have you looked at et3 just because i thought you would enjoy it.
i have a problem with appeasement of tyrants, i.e. England pre-churchill. also i have many venezualan acquaintences who fled their country rather than get disappeared.
we can kiss muslim but all we want. they have made their definition of peace pretty plain. my problem with bush is for derailing retribution over 9/11. also i do not like risking american soldiers unnecessarily. we have the tech to hit every time they poke their heads out with our fighters. somehow you equate anything you don't grasp with reprobates and dumdocrats.
you brought up opec in your article. i mistakenly thought you were starting to get a clue that politicians lie and party makes little difference. i was trying to congratulate you for seeing past the facade. that fresh breeze is just another bo in power.
quite awhile back i came to you with a chemist/chemical engineers expanaition in laymens terms but that had to be wrong because it would mess up your algorerythms.
i read your response last night but decided to wait to answer because i would guess that not to many go back to the prior days articles. i rarely do. this was done out of respect. i still think you have a good mind. i would be wary of that extra sweet kool=aid bho is pushing. ww2 ended the depression not fdr's socialist programs. many opine that those policies prolonged the depression.
to sum it up. i guess discussion or debate upset you. i can't blame you. i would not want to defend the liberal stance. once the soudbytes are gone there isn't much to stand on. you quote a pundit to me. what was your point? the media is a joke.
if i comment on another of your articles i will always begin with the simplistic view that you wish.
    bush-bad
    obama-good
    republirats- bad
    dimocrats-good
i gave up on the parties long ago and now look for public servants and statesmen and i could care less about parties and labels.
anyway fitz it was still a good article with good observations.
hopefully not many will back-up to catch this response because my sense of decency prefers that.

  • Obama 'Shines' Natural Gas [View article]
    hi fitz
glad to see another article from you. though i don't agree how to get there our goals are the same.
did you ever get a chance to check out evacuated tube transport (et3)? i really think you would like the "improved j-pod."
sorry for your disappointment in bho. the reverend told us awhile back the man is a politician. i like seeing you go after both parties. there is plenty of blame for all.
i have access to spanish speaking news. one of the very first acts of bho was to ask castro and chavez for a meeting. yesterday he was kissing up to the muslims. that is no suprise to any who read his books. i don't know if these items have made it to the u.s. "press".
fitz i'd take you over most of what we have in washington. i might not like the implementation but at least it would be a coherent plan with a clear destination. the best part would be having an honorable thinking person at the helm who didn't lie and cheat for political expediancy.

  • Six Companies Poised to Gain from a Natural Gas Auto Mandate [View article]
the article looks like good advice however i am really sick of hearing about mandates, tax incentives, subsidies, favors etcetera. are we free or not?
i also am a little tired of hearing the distortion that the evil terrorist arabs are gaining. they are gaining but china, india and europe will keep buying oil. on a world market the only way we can hurt opec is to produce more of our own oil to help hold the price down. canada has been our biggest supplier of oil. canadian terrorists are not crossing our border to do harm just yet. that smells like salesmanship of an old billionaire that wants a govt. handout for his windfarms and the typical misdirection of politicians to explain the ridiculous debt of this nation. i guess i am getting a bit cynical.
from what i can tell oil, ng, coal and nuclear are cost efficient and ng can become efficient in automobiles.
it is what it is so thank you for the pointers on how to make money. i guess the free nation, free people, free market concept is a fantasy from the past. guess i'm getting old.

    hi fitzman
been awhile. you need to take a look at et3 (google it). i think you would find it interesting as a better j-pod.
    longoil
hope you are well. i finally picked up io (3rd time) just yesterday. it was good to me the 1st 2 times. i also decided to revisit ngs when it was at 7.70. it was good to me too.
guys i can't really blame anything on the "free" market. i don't believe i've ever traded or invested in one except as a young guy that got very lucky on some stocks that were never listed on an exchange. that was 30 yrs. back.
jefferson warned us about national banks. guess we shoulda' listened.
i go a little further back in blaming politicians. we have plenty of reps. and senators to blame too.
if we see morgan or boa going the route of citi lets snap it up at $2 or $3 and wait on the bailout to snag a few thousand on the bounce. the one i'm sure of is jpmorgan since a few months back it appears the federalis were in collusion on an outragious metals short scam.
i think we will get another shot at citi down there too. check out the political donations of these banksters to see my reasoning.
fitzman i'm as lost as everybody else but i'm thinking it is a good time to be buying oil, ng, and mining while they are down.
oops i almost left out b.o.. anybody catch the young illinois attorney that led the case to force fannie and freddie to make bad loans? he sux just like the rest of them. clinton "balanced" the budget by destroying our military at least partially.
i don't really dislike bad boy bill but i will always wonder why he picked such dogs for women when he could have enjoyed some real beauties. at least he was entertaining.
everybody seems to hate george jr. now. to blame him all by himself is moronic. i am glad he rebuilt our military. i would have handled 911 differently (i think) but i am not privy to intelligence reports. he was just another screw-up in a long line of screw-ups.
would anyone else like to see a true conservative party that would abide by the constitution, stay out of business and our private affairs.
