  • Will Obama Deliver on His Rhetoric?  [View article]
    does any politician? ever?

    davidingeorgia
i was paying attention. i read as much of his books as i could stomach (not much). his voting record implied an extreme leftist. biden was one of the few that could compete and even he was passed by obamamama.
mccain the leftist looked like a moderate in comparison. he was no prize. i doubt he would have proceeded in a much different manner. the rhetoric would have been a little different.
the mega statist replaced a statist and defeated a statist. what i found disheartening was that the majority seem to want the nanny state. the contest of liberty has become to much. they trade liberty for safety and security. the will get the boot on the human face.
ice cream for everyone. the aftertaste will be foul.
a couple of 3rd parties offered a constitutional platform. hopefully people will wise up and see they are the counter to the democrat/republican machine.
your description is accurate. i would add a twist of islam to it.

  • Is the U.S. Dollar Headed for a Mighty Crash? Part II [View article]
politcians are liers and governments lie. i find all numbers given to be suspect. the chinese leadership has and will understate the rate they acquire real assets in exchange for debt laden u.s. debt dollars. the other players in the card game will do the same. for awhile the process will be gradual. at some point the capitulation will commence. when one bolts for an exit the poker game becomes musical chairs.
i read both articles. they were useful and informative. i in no way wish to be taken as critical of the author. i just find the official numbers suspect. guess i'm gettin skeptical these days.

  • Inflation Can Be Terrifying [View article]
i think the ww2 era hebrews might say yes it is terrifying. it opens doors in the hearts and minds of men that should stay closed, bricked up, mortared over. it paves the way for evil men.
slv and gld are just more paper trading instruments. p.m. in the hand is private and debt free.

  • World War III: U.S. vs. China? [View article]
i would suggest looking for non u.s. sources for news. i realize it can be difficult. it is worth the trouble. most of what we are presented as news should properly be labeled editoial. exhibit 1 (the u.s. is constantly refered to as a democracy. it is a representative republic. in a democracy each citizen votes on each issue, there are no representatives) exhibit 2 ideology is even mispronounced by his geniusness. it is the belief of the person you truely are the id, not your beliefs because of your ideas. the pundits and politicians are not the best nor the brightest. they are supposed to report unbiased news, just the facts. the politicians are servants not masters. we allow this. turn off the boob tube or admit the news is simply more mindless entertainment for your sake and for your country's sake.
i would doubt very seriously that we have much knowledge of the newest high tech weapons. perhaps we could invade china. it doesn't matter how many soldiers you can field if they can be vaporised by better weapons. i would guess the u.s. is far ahead in tech. we can only guess about these things. i hope we still carry the biggest stick.

  • World War III: U.S. vs. China? [View article]
my old aunt used to say. "everything was made in japan....then their fighters and bombers came." it bothered her that everything we buy is made in china.
if china makes it through their own troubles i would guess eventual war is a strong possibility. perhaps we will get lucky with internal problems for china. the people have had a small taste of freedom and the free market concept.
we had a president hand over intercontinental targeting capability soon after he accepted questionable campaign donations. trouble is at the apparent pressure from herald ickes, thompson allowed the treason impeachment hearings to be derailed to sexcapades with monica. wonder what ickes had on thompson. china is now a force to be reckoned with.
