JAKE2 from my long perspective it is: dollar down yesterday, dollar down tomorrow, dollar down today, gold holding steady last year, next year, and every year since i bought my insurance.

BOWMAN 711 got any guesses how long the manipulation game can continue before all heck breaks loose? i agree with you and i think the situation is worse with silver. i know the price has been held down for decades so any guesses when the public will wise up and say, it is nut under those two shells, and pick them up to say ,so it must be under the remaining one? i know that requires turning off the t.v. but surely the rising price of beer will get noticed.

KELLY LIEBERMAN you sound as fed up as i am. thank you for pointing your finger and the blame straight at d.c. and our swelled with self-esteem petty would be masters. these are the same guys and gals that have massive wellsupplied shelters in case of attack who have ridiculed and berated any american that was crazy enough to try to give himself and his loved ones any type of protection.

i took a position in gold and silver long ago as insurance. it will purchase today what it did then. it has done exactly what i thought it would. the number of fiat dollars it takes to purchase real money is irrelavant. i would like for the u.s. dollar to return to the gold standard to stabilize our currency. the valuation though ridiculously high is only relevant if such a course is taken and i know it will not be. the massive spending and printing of government would be curtailed and that is not going to happen. i would like to see a comparison of above ground silver to add to your charts. i believe it would show a suprising shortage of silver. silver probably has a better upside than gold for 4 reasons: a suprising shortage, industrial use, it has been out of whack in its relationship to gold since the hunt brothers move, and the naked short positions are beyond what is available when they are forced to cover. that is my humble opinion.
