    My first impression is I'm not sure that you aren't comparing apples/oranges. You have cherry picked charts at various times during cyclical bull markets and secular bull rallies. No doubt we are nearer to, rather than further from, THE bottom. Though this is probably A bottom, I won't believe in a buy n' hold until we see the VIX 'close' in the 40's, see:
