  • Marijuana Investing: Be Cautious But Focused [View article]
just want to point out that MJNA is trading at 18 cents, not 9. I would be a buyer at 9 cents. I like the article except for where you singled out a few stocks.. I don't think many if any MMJ stocks have managed to maintain share prices near highs, except maybe GWPH, with SEC freezes looming and constant public warnings of potential scams it's hard to gain much public confidence. Companies need to start proving themselves, quickly to take advantage of recent momentum, and show revenues from related business. It's good to read something positive from someone neutral.

  • Cannabis Stocks' High Hopes Of Uplisting [View article]
blah.. contrarian view.. but The info on what it takes to get uplisted is very useful. I find this info encouraging rather than seeing it as unachievable. Once they start making money in an untapped market, it's seems quite possible that some will meet requirements. I bet at least one or two make the NYSE in the next two years and others will make the NASDAQ.. a lot of freeloading venture capitalists will confirm your fears too and will be pumped and dumped.. but this could be a very real thing.. as real as PCs in the 80s.. who then could have imagined what the internet would be now? So may be the same for the Marijuana Hemp industry.. Dilution of shares to me looks almost ingenius in creating liquidity. I look at what its done in my own portfolio, and I am a clumbsy sloppy investor. Savvy investors are creating gobbs of liquidity with these companies. Three good quarters of earnings meeting those requirements won't bring share prices to required levels?

  • Getting The Dope On These OTC Cannabis Stocks [View article]
Just a theory, but even the highest growth assumption outlined here (20k%) is pretty realistic when dealing with a once illicit commodity. If a company focused on marijuana but was minimally profitable because most avenues of the business are blocked off, it is reasonable to think that some unprecedented growth rate is possible when all avenues become open. Take the value of the commodity alone.. What if marijuana made it all the way onto the Mercantile Futures Exchange like every other reputable commodity? Is hemp then another commodity/ byproduct of marijuana? It just seems this industry is hard to compare with many of the industries compared with in this article, but it is still interesting to see them cross examined this way.

  • An Open Letter To GrowLife [View article]
What's a "GIFT" transaction? I am just a simple individual investor with little real knowledge of economics and business.. but reading this article made me wonder, instead of issuing new shares.. how difficult is it for a company to do a stock split instead.. create 3 Billion shares for the 1 Billion, but put them in the hands of current shareholders who will likely redistribute them anyway... Why don't companies do this instead of diluting?

  • GE says retail finance IPO set for 2014 [View news story]
Stocks don't make sense to me.. seems like a trading game for elites who get to make their own rules as it suits them.. I would assume that at this moment pre-IPO/spin-off, a GE shareholder owes part of the whole of GE.. when they split off a piece of that whole, it has a value that is a percentage of the whole. I don't know the number, but say it was 1/5th for purpose of discussion.. If I own 5 GE shares.. I should end up with 4 GE and 1 IPO share... If that's how it worked, stocks would b less confusing to me. In simple language, how is this actually going down.. In Layman terms if anyone can bring themselves down to my level..
