  • Buffett Metric Doesn't Say It's Time to Buy [View article]
hey! you are the genious that was recommending to buy dow chemical at around $40 right?

your (pseudo) analysis lacks a key variable, interest rates, as well as the inflation rate, which are critical to value any financial asset...

also, he has bought more shares than just BNI, he has recently bought significant stakes in COP, and USB. And not too long ago he made the JNJ and KFT purchases at higher prices than today.

  • At 2003 Levels, Berkshire Stock Is Enticing [View article]
if they have come so low is because people have been "playing" with the CDS market and have been successful in creating panic...

    shorts should be investigated...

and this is the cheapest BRK has been in the last 2-3 DECADES...
below book!! even Buffett has said that book value SIGNIFICANTLY undervalues the company, since companies like Seed's are worth 50x + what they are carried in the books...

but hey, if it goes lower, maybe I'll be some more...

happysoul is right, but you have to add the manipulation of shorts through the use of the CDS market...

Or...Someone like Doug Kass who has been short the stock is taking advantage of the small liquidity in the CDS market to cause a panic to cover his shorts at a lower level...?

you are a fool that does not know how to value a company like BRK...
why dont you join Kass in shorting it...he doesnt understand the company either, but he goes on cnbc, says some foolish things, and then is treated like a genius because he got lucky and it went down...

the CDS...it could be a short trying to cover at a lower price...it should be investigated...

  • Will Berkshire Lose Its Triple-A? [View article]
Porbably idiot Doug Kass manipulating the stock through funny CDS transactions to cover his short position...

That idiot Kass should be investigated...he also went on CNBC bashing the stock while being short...

Really, how can BRK be more risky than a bank like citi that has been loosing billions upon billions...or Goldman, which is leveraged a huge amount, while BRK has very little debt, and contrary to what this article says, BRK does not need AAA as much as other companies (like GE, AIG, etc). It sure helps lower costs and not have to post collateral in some positions, but the company was NOT built on the credit rating (contrary to Fannie and Freddie, etc.).

  • Has Buffett Become a Dividend Investor? [View article]
It seems the BAC purchase, and decrease, were done by Lou Simpson, not by Buffett...

Check the 13F, and you will see that the BAC stake includes GEICO as a reporting person, whereas other big stakes dont. Besides, it is not Buffett's style to sell a stock one year after purchasing it.

NRG also seems to be a purchase by GEICO, whereas COP does seem to have been chosen by Buffett.

  • Berkshire Valuation Questionable as Business Fails Guidance Tests [View article]
this nonsense articles should not be allowed in SA, I am not even sure they belong in Yahoo MB...

A little honesty would at least require to say that Buffett said that he expected wild swings in this contracts, and that the reported earnings in any given quarter could be severely affected, but they should be profitable in the end (more than 10 years to go before money actually exchanges hands)...

  • Another Buffett Prediction, Japan Edition [View article]
well, actually he already did this year an acquisition through ISCAR...a 1B dollar approx. purchase of a cutting tools Japanese company...

I agree that in the stock market there are some very well run companies that do look very cheap...I have been looking at Honda, though I think all automakers will continue to suffer, even if Honda might win market share...

  • Here I Go, Criticizing Warren Buffett [View article]
    Somebody is jelous... =P

Look, giving your opinion is NOT insider trading...

While you are at it why dont you criticize Kass, the poor idiot that was shorting Berkshire, and at the same time talking about it on TV. If Buffett cannot give his opinion about GS/GE even after disclosing his positions, why should people like Kass and Einhorn be allowed to do so (who by the way because they are shorts are obliged to much less disclosure)?
