  • The State Of McDonald's  [View article]
All of MCD's troubles (which the author correctly identifies) are also opportunities for MCD to improve. I'm surprised they haven't tried to broaden their appeal to millenials through the use of nostalgia. It seems like copying In-and Out's burger drive through of yesteryear vibe could be hugely beneficial.

  • Whole Foods' Value-Focused Brand Is Under Pressure Even Before Its Launch  [View article]
Just because WMT offers discounted organic produce does not mean that millennial consumers want to shop there. WMT is not cool/sexy, and consumers are embarrassed to be seen there. WFM has far more cache, and their discount stores will attract loads of consumer interest. Just wait.

  • We Believe McDonald's Should Be Priced Between $72-$84  [View article]
I would back up the truck if MCD ever dropped to $72. That's extremely unlikely though. We're more likely to see it trading at $100/share than $84.

My understanding was that if their "living wills" were found to be insufficient, that the banks would be broken up. Would be great, but I'm not holding my breath.

As recently as June 19, Cramer had passionately defended the stock. LNCO -11%[View news story]
No, don't give the guy a break. He gives investment advice on TV for a living. To the extent that he sucks at that (see his call on LINE) he should be criticized.

Yeah but before the SEC investigation was announced, Cramer came out w a piece on thestreet.com saying that LINE's accounting practices were fine. He should view this as a buying opportunity if he genuinely believes that to be true. (Long LINE).
