  • Gold And Gold Miners Have Topped Out [View article]
    TD, Contributor:
Your reply to Hoyt was amusing, premised on "with all external factor (sic) remaining somewhat equal, is <12 months." I believe you could drive a large truck through that assumption; according to Dynamical Systems Theory (as applicable to all complex nodal systems, inclusive of present worldwide financial systems) it does in fact take a single snowflake to start an avalanche. Decentralized systems with many nodes and weak connectivity are stable; centralized systems with few large nodes and strong connectivity are definitively unstable.

Comex and worldwide pricing in USD, that's why...for now...perhaps pricing in USD is a passing breeze, given the real effects of the SGE. and the PacRim bilateral and multilateral trade agreements. I have done 18 M&A transactions in the PRC with SOEs: The present expression among PRC executives is "Trade with RMB and gold with your friends; trade with USD with your enemies".

Russ...I had seen your insightful piece; thank you. I smiled at the second and third paragraphs; methinks that is the way of the RFW.

  • How To Remain Bullish On Gold [View article]
JAk...really? PRC is long $1.3B T-bills, not exactly enamored of that investment, SGE delivering monthly world Au production, LBMA delivering record phys, Comex dealer inventories depleting, Vatican bank scandal, ineffective (smuggling) curbs in India, CBs buying Au and printing fiat, GLD inventories dubious and declining, commercials approaching net long per latest COTs, foreign T-Bill holdings reducing at record levels, US real interest rates negative for the foreseeable...

  • The Physical Vs. Paper Fallacy Begins To Expose Itself [View article]
fish...articulate comment as usual. Thank you. Care to comment(?):
    1. Comex inventory vs June delivery status? (JPM?)
    2. SGE offtake and delivery last two months?
    3. Citi Comex short position?
    4. PRC SOE direct purchases from miners, bypassing Swiss refiners?
    5. Bullion bank (new) Comex net long positions?
    6. Comex price discovery mechanism implications?
This laundry list seems interesting to me; perhaps not to you.

  • Peter Schiff Has It Totally Backwards - Gold Is Not Going 'To The Moon' [View article]
An insightful comment, Emmet, as are your articles..."artificial action in comex" (I assume price discovery) becomes more curious, at least to me, when I learn that the fact that the SGE delivered in the last two months substantially all of the world's gold production (obviously all marginal supply), huge volume compared with Comex or LME/LBMA delivery volumes, and further I learn that the PRC/SOEs are purchasing from miners directly at higher prices than Swiss refiners and refining/recasting, bypassing the Swiss 6-8 week refining delay. Thanks.
