Are you the ones who've been shorting this stock? This company uses algae as an additive for fuel. Algae raised in the dark is also the basis for its nutritional and health and beauty products. It's a biotech company, not an ethanol company.
A Canadian company called IBC Advanced Alloys is developing beryllium oxide to make nuclear power plants safer and more efficient. They have research partnerships with Texas A&M and Purdue University, and last week signed an MOU with Global Nuclear Fuel America to improve the safety and efficiency of nuclear fuel by adding beryllium oxide. GNF is a GE joint venture with Hitachi and Toshiba, and is a leading fabricator and supplier of Boiling Water Reactors fuel and services. So says the news release, but I think this could be a big step for IBC/IAALF. I've been hanging out a long time with this penny stock, and this feels like a potential breakout. Anyone else hold this stock? P.S. I don't see much future for nuclear in the U.S.

I don't understand your comments on Keystone, which would simply speed the export of Canadian crude from U.S. seaports. Why should we aid and abet tar sands excavation that poses a huge threat to our climate? Wouldn't it be better to build pipelines to distribute our own oil and natural gas while we develop cleaner energy sources?

Read "The Jungle" and you'll see why we have an FDA and an EPA to protect us from greed-gone-wild. But I don't think Obama will do anything wild on the environmental side either; he's a jobs guy, too. And industries, see auto, do adjust to meet the challenge.

Thanks, John. It feels like a century since the wild, heady days of the alternative energy bull run. Axion is my only stock from that time, and I plan to hang in.

I, too, sold my T, only to see it stage a mild (relief?) rally after the demise of the T-Mobile deal. The Kroger idea doesn't appeal to me (supermarkets have notoriously thin margins), but Spring and Dish sound interesting. Thanks for bringing them to SA!
If Greece would just agree to sell some state assets, it could raise up to six times more than planned, says ECB Juergen Stark, calling Greece's privatization plan nowhere near ambitious enough. Stark believes government sales could bring in as much as €300B ($430B). [View news story]
That was meant as a joke; I live in California, where some hare-brained schemes are the norm!

Mubarak/Bernanke? Fed chief hasn't killed anyone lately, and I think he's trying to do what's best -- considering the current Reep/Dem deadlock on budgets and spending -- for the country. However, I agree that this market can't go on forever, but I'm not sure how to hedge when what I really want to do is make money.

I agree. As one who's been badly scorched by First Solar but wants to invest in solar, I really do appreciate your analysis. It's certainly been a rough ride and a bewildering field.
Great article. So nice to read a QE critic who's not a truther. Helps make sense of the latest bull run and how to invest in it. A budget agreement that includes investments in education, research and infrastructure along with a plan to reduce our debt would be so much better than QE.
